"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yikes. I hadn’t heard anything about the game until just now. Best wishes to the injured player.

Filling airtime would be hard yikes.

I was all excited yesterday because I could sit around and do nothing and still have today to prep. Except I also did very little today (walk with a friend, and Yoga with Adrienne). Oops.

I tried to book a flight for my World Cup plans this summer, but it’s refusing to book it saying the seats don’t exist. Grr.

And I have 7am meetings tomorrow. And 8am,9am, and 10am. Whee?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Whee?

As ten year old Emmett would say, that is "undelightful."

Punishingly Intricate

I’m doing some communications strategy at this chemical company and one thing everyone I’ve interviewed there says is that they have Too Many Meetings so I’m doing a meeting audit and, looking at their calendars, they just don’t have that many meetings? So maybe they are just a bunch of complainers ? meara, on the other hand…that’s legit Too Many Meetings. (Your company should hire me.)

Our wings are not tired.

Today is a day of celebration as it was the day that shrift was born! Have a wonderful day filled with delight, and may the year to come be a magnificent one!

Lol I would support that Lisa! Thankfully I don’t usually have that many meetings (or that many in a row) and I’m hopeful that a couple of them will be brief or maybe even canceled. I hope. Because I know there’s a ton of emails awaiting me.

Happy Birthday, shrift!

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I'm glad I only have one meeting today, because brain is just not functioning yet. As in, this year.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

We tried to have No Meetings Thursdays. It didn't last.

We're doing better with No Meetings Fridays.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

My no-meeting Fridays usually wind up being only-one-or-two-meetings Fridays, which is still a vast improvement over the rest of the week. Our org-level monthly No Meeting Tuesday (today!) is a hilarious joke.
