Timelies all!
Gary is less of a morning person than I am. I'm not really a morning person, but years of getting up at 6:30 for work, plus hamster brain, means I'm usually up and out of bed when the alarm goes off.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

I've been laughing in sympathy all the while I've been catching up.
I did make it a point from early to listen to hours upon hours of cartoon replays, playground play-by-plays, and Mighty Adventures of Spiff the Spaceman-equivalent when my sons were small to middle-sized. Which paid off when they were larger and had Actual Problems to talk about, or How Should I Feel about this social skill, or that common habit of What I Feel is abuse? The payoff was massive. And also unexpectedly brought with it random friends with their own troubles, dragged home with them because, "You really need to talk to my mom." With my own it was not unheard of to sit and make it safe for them to spill until, oh, 3 or 4 am and then try to grab a few hours' sleep before work. Regrettable in the moment, but overall worth it, I think.
Ok, I shouldn’t just keep checking my phone for Georgia results, right?

No, you decidedly shouldn't. I shouldn't either. This is how I went temporarily insane in early November, and I refuse to go through that again. You should too; let's both not!
Deal!
My heart cannot take it otherwise.
Ok, I had to check again, but I spent SEVERAL minutes not checking
I might have peeked just a little. But I can't again. This is *exactly* like November all over again.
It is. We just did this. We should know better.
