Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it, and Happy Holidays to those who don't!
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
What Matt just said. Also, I love us, every one.
I joined the "Is Anybody Watching Buffy the Vampire Series" thread by Agnes Bertiz on TT--I thought it was the motherthread. Dana was there, and I assumed David was there. Holli joined not long after me. Ed was already there. Long, long time ago.
Merry Christmas/happy long weekend! In spite of the weather on the 23rd I made it to my sister’s. Albeit early on the 24th. I’ve been able to spend time with my nephew, his wife, and their 1.5 year old son. At last night’s Christmas Eve party someone brought a two month old golden retriever puppy and now I desperately want one. Luckily for my cats, I live in a no dogs apartment complex.
I discovered the buffista random quote generator and sought out the people who made the funny. It was in BTVS’s last season, I think.
We’re in a hotel room in Frederick so we could have Xmas eve dinner at my brother’s and not have to drive an hour home and back again this morning to have Xmas brunch with my parents. We have the dog with us and being in the hotel is stressing her out. Her poor heart was broken when Bob just ran out to get us coffee.
ETA I started lurking on TT whenever the 2nd season was airing (& they were airing season 1 reruns at the same time).
I’m in Quebec where it is considerably less cold than it is at home in Chicago by some fluke. Still plenty cold and snowy, and we happened to be right on scene when the St-Lawrence surged over its banks the other night. Wild!
meara and I had an exchange recently about something that she pointed out had happened when she was 23. 23! I am agog and amazed at how long we’ve been adjunct family to one another.
I am making Brussel’s Sprouts with bacon as my dish to pass. I forgot to buy Blue Cheese or Feta Crumbles, which I really like with it, but people other than my mom don’t always like all the stinky things in a dish to pass, so perhaps that is good. We also like rutabaga.

I just “saw” meara on Facebook tease it Holly about how she was fourteen!
It has become all blue skies here! Very pretty. I think we might go to the zoo on New Year’s Eve instead…
I still cannot believe Holli is a full-on adult with her own business and publishing career!
I went to a lovely holiday party last night (did take a covid test in advance), and over-indulged in seven fishes and lovely holiday cookies. Now I am baking the maple-walnut pie for tonight's dessert, and in a minute I will take the dog out for a much-needed walk. Later we will do breakfast and presents at my sister's house.
Aargh! I know I am getting old when I mix up Holli with shrift’s “real name”. I was so shocked when I learned it.

My origin story as well. I didn’t lurk for long.
