I look more rad than Lutheranism

I know the Bengals already made the playoffs, but it would be nice if they didn't shit the bed in this game against New England. Jesus.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Saints, against all of their natural inclinations, won in Cleveland. (Fuck you, Deshaun Watson.)

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have no idea about this “foot ball” you speak of. Apparently the Bills are playing somewhere.

I loved the quote Deathmatches. I also can’t believe that I somehow had so little work to do that I could spend so much time on the Buffy board. I have been able to do it a little this week because I am on “vacation”. But man, I used to have about 2 hours of work a DAY.

I am also nostalgic for when I was one of the top posters. As we have done in the past, when reminiscing, I think my delurking was on TT 5x5, and I think it was an exchange with JZ about George Lucas’s library, but that could be all made up memories. I mean, I am pretty sure that happened, but I am not sure if tha was my delurking.

I didn’t have a home computer at the time, so I actually PRINTED OUT the Buffy board and Pacey and Joey fanfic (thanks VonnieK).

I am so disappointed that I did not get to go to the zoo today. It is obviously a minor problem, where we are in a weird hurricane snow vortex n Buffalo, with bonus water main break??? In Rochester, but I have been going to the zoo on Christmas Eve for 20 years, and it just feels like a terrible thing to skip it. Like, we went in 2020 all masked and 6 feet apart. And this is the year…

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, I’m sorry you missed the zoo, Sophia. Stay warm!

I ended up watching a recording if one of last week’s games on Thursday with my parents, none of us realizing it was a recording until it suddenly cut off and we didn’t see the very end. Both frustrating and embarrassing once we had googled enough to figure out the final score and that it was not a live game! Bills vs Dolphins, so mentioning the Bills reminded me. I don’t know how they did today but they had a very exciting game a week ago!

ETA: we all were enjoying watching the progression of the snow accumulation as well, and knowing that was not live is harder to internalize

Everyone is all Bills now, but there is also some weird thing where people from Rochester who lived in the 70s like Pittsburgh? I have a visceral “go Pittsburgh”!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Hugs and love to everyone. I read and nodded along but my brain failed to keep track. Despite everything, ltc has declared it the best Christmas ever, and people can’t believe she’s sick based only on photos because she looks so happy. I wish I had a tiny bit of what she has, and I hope she keeps it a good long time.

I’ve never been so glad to NOT be traveling at Christmas, with this mess. Plus today is our first really warm day here so I got in the pool for the first time all month! And I’m on vacation for the next week. All good!

I am crossing my fingers the post office put an unexpected package delivery in my mailbox and not on my porch or just sitting on top of the mailbox (they’ve done that!). I’m not sure how big it is, so just crossing my fingers it’s still there when I get home

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Apparently the Bills are playing somewhere.

They beat the Bears, in Chicago. I don't usually watch but I thought it would be useful to know when the Chiefs game ended (which my family would be watching) and the the Bears-vs-Bills was the game available to me.

I'm making kinda random foods. Cranberry muffins are done and a butternut squash and kale side dish is in the oven. Tomorrow I'll make a sweet potato, carrot, apple, and red lentil soup.

I've watched The Woman King and Everything Everywhere all at Once over the last two evenings. I'm deciding between Glass Onion and Top Gun- Maverick for this evening.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

If you're in the mood for mindless, exciting, slickly produced and well executed propaganda, go Top Gun. If you're in the mood for a twisty movie that's in love with its own cleverness (and it definitely is that clever), go Glass Onion.

Also, Glass Onion has Janelle Monae, and Top Gun does not.

Thrive to spite them

I got the Oct date when I looked. I can't remember how long I've been on the board. I know since TT.

I'm currently at M's brother's from Xmas Eve.

We have no Internet. The whole town is lacking Spectrum and from what I can tell this is an issue in multiple states. Luckily we haven't lost power or cell service.
