Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

Our wings are not tired.

Bruh! It is good to have that relationship where you feel free to say whatever you are thinking at the moment, and have the other person get it.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Glad to hear that you are at home with your family, JZ, and I’m glad that you are starting to make some progress, Epic.

Overnight, it got up to 56° here, but the temperature is dropping, and it will get down to 10° later in the day.

Our wings are not tired.

The range of temperature they show today is 82° midday to 45° overnight. It's only been in the 70s at night lately, so that will be a change! Back to normal Wednesday. It's going to feel like Christmas! The lasagnas I am making will be a nice cozy option.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

JZ’s bro: spirit, 10/10. Execution, 3/10.

I’m glad you’re home, JZ.

I’m home for the next few hours, and then heading to Michigan by way of Atlanta. Maybe. My flight’s been canceled and rebooked twice so far. Also, the power has gone out in my apartment twice, briefly, with 25+ winds expected the rest of the day. So no matter where I am tomorrow, I may need my puffy coat.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I’m so glad JZ is home and resting.

ltc has been home with the flu all week. I started with symptoms last night. So, we’re not hosting our first Christmas Eve. We’re staying home and scaling back the food we’re making, and I’m waiting to see if my doctor will call in Tamiflu. I still have to wrap all the things.

Our wings are not tired.

{{sj and family}} I hope you get through this easier than expected.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Last night around 9 or 9:30, the temperature dropped from 40-something to 20 degrees. Even though we knew it would happen, it was weird as hell. And now it's a very frigid –5 degrees, with a windchill of Oh Hell No. The roads are a mess, but I wasn't planning to go anywhere today anyway.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

It is just starting to snow in Rochester. Also, there is a water main break here, which has the Southwest quarter of the city on a boil water advisory. I am in the Northwest, and there was also a water main break on the street next to me (I was walking while it was happening, and actually fell, which was fun).We are not on a boil water advisory. Also, it is sort of weird that it was at the same time?

I am expecting that after 21 years, Maria and I may have to break our streak of spending Christmas Eve at the zoo. We even made it in 2020.

I am glad you got loved one cuddles, JZ.

Feel better sj. That sounds disappointing.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

{{{{sj and family}}}} I’m so sorry about all the sick, and the timing of it derailing your Christmas plans.

And, brrr. I feel almost embarrassed about my frantic hunt for flannel sheets because our nights are dipping into the 40s, when some of y’all are getting ALL the weather.

Attempting a single small cup of coffee—nobody told me I couldn’t, and everything else is bad enough without the caffeine withdrawal headaches on top.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

{{{JZ}}} I'm so glad you're home with loved ones around you.

In my experience, they didn't forbid any food or drink* because they were concerned about weight loss and basically seemed to feel that whatever you have the appetite for is OK right now. So enjoy your coffee.
