I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Probably the smart move. Yikes

Our wings are not tired.

Yeah, probably would want to take a pass on that. At least it isn't Twitter, right?

Thrive to spite them

I had a combo dr's appointment. It's with my primary care dr. It was supposed to be about getting Vyvanse refills but he rolled all my annual appointment stuff in it. I got the Covid booster I needed, blood drawn, we talked about colonoscopy vs ColoGuard and Ill be getting ColoGuard in the mail for that since I'm not at high risk.

He did ask me if there was any plans to go off Vyvanse and I kind of looked at him blankly and was like --why?? I also told him I'd only been taking it for 5 or 6 years,. I don't know I'm bad at remembering that stuff. He said that was a lot better than taking it for 20 or 30 years and then went into this whole thing about how when bodies get older they can't take stimulants as well and if I were to have a heart attack or a stroke then the vyvanse could be seen as the culprit and it could be hard to get back on it...but it's not something to worry about yet, but defintely when Im 55 -60. Part of me wanted to ask if said this to everyone my age or just because I'm fat, I didn't because he never actually mentioned my weight.

He did keep using the royal "we" when he was talking about me . Although that was really the only thing I can complain about. Except he won't do 3 prescriptions faxed to CVS I have to contact the office every month for a new BUT I can use the my chart thing so that is at least better than having to call and do the whole phone tree system and talk to someone.

Plus he seemed impressed when I told him how much I walked for work and when I said my boyfriend does most of the cooking and he uses a lot of butter and it's starch heavy at times the dr asked "is it good? Because a lot of people have someone who cooks like that but it's not good. At least if it's going to be bad for you it should taste good"

I was feeling awful though because I have seriously bad cramps today and nothing has really helped and so I just wanted to go home. Where I am now, in comfy clothes and kind of stressed about all the things I need to do before we go to Mom's tomorrow but I can only do so much and I'm just going to focus on what I can get done.

I really want a nap though.

JZ your friends predicament sounds like it should be a comedy sketch OR fanfic...like Person A had their car stolen and Person B is the main person who keeps calling and reporting it and finally they meet and it's true love. OR Person A works for the police and Person B works for the traffic dept and both of them are working towards dealing with the car and start trying to coordinate things and from their things grow and it's true love

I thought Vyvanse was a non-stimulant? Could've sworn that was what I was told when my doctor put me on it, but that was over ten years ago (I switched to Adderall in the meantime because my insurance wouldn't cover Vyvanse unless Adderall wouldn't work for me or something, and I just have to keep an eye on my blood pressure (which is fine if I take meds, so that's what I do - no one has suggested any lifestyle changes to bring it down and that surprised me but I'm fine with it)

Aw,that would be a cute basis for fic!

Definitely an amphetamine. (Source: it's in my bathroom.)

Huh. I wonder why I was on it. Weird. Well, that was a long time ago, I'm sure there was a reason at the time.

Oh, it was something else that I can't remember the name of that was a nonstimulant. I just looked through the Kaiser app but while it says I can see archived prescriptions there I can't figure out how, so it will remain a mystery.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

It’s been raining all day. Bleah. At least the commute wasn’t that bad. (My work had a two hour delay policy for today where you could take unscheduled leave. Luckily I got to work at my usual time.)

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

We have a dusting of snow here. I only noticed when I went to shut the blinds since I stayed home with a migraine today. A migraine plus two ailing cats made for a very rough night/morning. The girls seem to be doing better now and are sleeping next to the radiators. 30ish hours in, I'm past the peak pain but not to the point that I can ignore it.
