I'm sorry. You were going to ask me to choose, right? Did you want to finish?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Always Anti-fascist!

Oh, well, Hecubus. Maybe your dog will show up at another time. (That's not a comment about the pole-dance thing.) I would like us to have another terrier again, someday, but we kind of only just have the room, so I understand why we don't.

Our wings are not tired.

My day would have been improved with a Han Solo pole dancer.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We have a local tradition called the Slutcracker, which is basically burlesque Nutcracker, and I'm always a little disappointed in how much Nutcracker it vs how much burlesque! Although one time I saw a woman en pointe who definitely got kicked out of ballet for being too big, and it made me tear up because she was so good.

Timelies, all! The Slutcracker sounds fun.

Have I mentioned how unfond I am of Mondays?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I spent my first hour of work online with IT support, so that was not the best way to kick off the week, but I am fond of the support guy.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's Finals Week for Matilda but she's in pretty good shape. She has two 2-hour finals per day, Tues-Weds-Thurs this week.

I drove her into school early today so she could study and prep. Early xmas break this year so everybody's back to school right after New Year's.

I haven't done a lot of xmas shopping but I have managed to track down and order deadstock Nick and Nora flannel pajamas for everybody. Not just for the immediate family but for Matilda's bestie, Mia, (Who is always happily borrowing JZ's pjs on sleepovers), and Emmett's gf, Kalena, and his best friend, Joey, and my MiL.

I trawl the interpipes! Thank you eBay, Etsy, Poshmark and Mercari!

Fancy Flannel for all!

Also, I got four things in the mail last week, and I'm going to focus on getting a batch more (including cards) out this week.

My friend Jes is coming over on Tuesday afternoon so we can watch the Kate Bush xmas special and the Judy Garland xmas special (on very fuzzy mid-sixties b/w video via YouTube).

And today I'm helping megan walker pick up her xmas tree. Ho ho ho!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

I'm sad about us but happy for the pup, and hopeful that we'll get a chance to redo the back stairs before we get a dog (they're aging very badly and some of the lower braces for the railings have fallen out, and Matilda pointed out that a small dog skiddering up and down in a hurry could slide right out and go crashing down the stairwell). Also maybe get a low table to elevate the piggy cage, and a removable wire roof for the cage so we don't have to worry about prey instincts invading the peaceable kingdom.
