We went to the Christmas Parade which was cute. Although it became a cat herding situation.

Tomorrow afternoon there is going yo be a big dinner at some restaurant. M's mom has arranged it and I think there will be around 30 people rhere. I'll have to go straight there after work I think. Or come home briefly and then go. I'm not really looking forward to it but I'm going to be prepared to bow out early if I need to.

I went out for a very nice dinner with my family last night, and even got dressed up with sparkly tights!

This morning I ran the dog before the rain and now I'm lounging around listening to podcasts and making playlists; later I will make molasses cookies. Probably I should go buy a tree but see above re: rain.

Anyone else watching all the men’s World Cup?

Heading over to my sister's later to bring her mom's nativity set and put it in her front yard. She somehow managed to fall out of bed yesterday. She fell around 4 AM and waited until 5 to call my brother. There was no way he and his wife could pick her up so they called the fire department. We can't figure out how she managed falling out since she sleeps dead still on her back in the middle of her queen size bed. She did say it was the first time she had so many men in her bedroom. She's sore today, but okay.

I've spent the last few days alternating sorting Christmas decorations, working, and reading. A lot of reading to try and keep from tumbling into too big a pity party here. One book on the computer, one audible, one Nook, and one actual hardcover. All at once depending where I am sitting! Brain exercise!

I've really only seen highlights from the World Cup, meara. I enjoy it a lot, but just haven't focused on it.

It’s going to be Morocco-France, as one of the semis, which should be interesting. I slept through the Morocco game this morning (except hearing my friend yell “oh shit!”) but we watched France v England.

It’s Gary’s birthday today. A couple of our friends are coming over in a bit.

I watched some of the England-France game. Mostly the end. I’m basically a Tottenham Hotspurs fan, and the Spurs goalie, Lloris, was playing for France, while, of course Harry Kane was playing for England. So either way, one of the guys I generally root for won.

At my sister's. Doing whatever she has on her list. She is pretty sore. Now my brother smooshed his car doing Lyft stuff last night at 1 AM or something. AAA didn't show until like 10 this morning so he was out there all night waiting. I expect he will be sore tomorrow. Ah, family.

Now for the work rant, one of my doctors swears he signed off and faxed a bunch of notes, but he didn't, but there is no telling him that because he knows he did. So I signed them all off as him and faxed them. Except for the ones that say Dear Dr. Jones on the note and the default fax recipient is Dr. Smith, because I am not going to figure that out. 2 clicks sign and fax, but no resolving issues. I'm sure my logging in as him and signing the notes is super compliant.

Driving back east tonight.
