Well, that's some good news, Sheryl.

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Glad to hear it, Sheryl!
Hecubus, I cannot recommend highly enough this book about rescue dogs. It's worth looking at the chapter about what to do the day you bring the dog home before you even get the dog. Here: [link]
I've had 3 rescues now, and all have had their own special issues, but establishing a good foundation helps enormously. Just FYI.
That’s great news Sheryl!
I’m concerned I have finally succumbed to the ick. I’m weirdly having this thing where just one side of my face is stuffy sinus/runny nose?? I took a covid test today but it just started last night so we shall see. Fingers crossed.
That is great news Sheryl!
Dog! Dog for the Zmayhems!
Meara, I am always sick like that (one side of my head). But I tend to think something is just off about the right side of my body. Everything happens there.
That's good, Sheryl.
This morning's testing came back negative for COVID. I'll need to test a couple more times, but so far so good. In other news, I managed to lose an entire baking sheet. My apartment's not that big, and the baking sheet is, like 3' X 1.5'. How did it disappear? I lost the older one, with more unremovable (barring power tools) gunk, but still. I'm not even mad, just confused.
Glad it can be fixed Sheryl.
Yay new piggies and possible dog!
Boo sickies.
Happy Friday everyone. This week has been exhausting, even with taking Tuesday off.
I’m in that space of having so much to do that I am doing less than I would normally.
I still don’t have my tree up or outside decorations. That is TOP of the list for the weekend.

I woke up and everything hurts. It doesn't seem to be flu-like aches (plus I got a flu shot like a month ago), just everything is sore, like I was hit by a truck or did CrossFit or something. I'm going to blame it on the weather. I have strategically placed microwave beanbags on my back and shoulders, and I'm waiting for the ibuprofen to work its magic. I would cross my fingers, but that would probably hurt, too.

Same. The tree needs to go up regardless of whether Tim is finished tinkering with the train set. Right now the only decoration we have up is a wooden Santa perched on a picture frame. Oh, also snowman-themed dish towels in the kitchen, if those count.
The tree is up, but not decorated. The balcony lights are up. Other than that my living area is overflowing with large bins. So far 2 to be donated and 4 to go to my sister. I have so much stuff! My Christmas stuff, plus my mom's, plus his grandmother's. Threw away about 20 large plastic candles that I used to have around the perimeter of the house. (maybe more) They were nearly 40 years old so I got my money's worth out of them. No more yard or driveway to decorate!
I started to panic about having to string Christmas lights in the windows of the new place before putting up privacy shades, then realized I won't be moving until the end of December. PLENTY of time to worry about that before I have blinds installed. And I've left the lights up in my apartment for years, only have to plug them in Tuesday night.
I swear this house purchasing process has used up every iota of organizational competency I can muster and then some.

That’s a normal side effect of buying a house, I believe.
