Well, the good news is that the Covid test came back negative.
The bad news is, last night was perhaps my worst night ever. I was throwing up every hour from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. Then I got about three hours of restless sleep until I was awakened by cramps in my toes, calves, and hamstrings. My temperature peaked at 101F (that's a personal record) a few hours ago, but has been dropping steadily since.
Thank goodness for WFH. I am out of sick days, and I am in no condition to drive.
Chicken soup and Gatorade are sustaining me. I hope this is a short-term bug. I didn't feel this off-balance and weak and lethargic even when I was doing chemo.
Ugh so sorry, dcp. Sounds like flu. Booo
Oof. That sounds like flu. Hope it passes quickly.
Oh, geez, dcp, that sounds awful. I hope you're better very soon.
That sounds awful, dcp. I do hope the soup and Gatorade do their thing quickly.
Dcp. That sounds awful. I hope you feel better. A coworker of mine has been out for ...a week?...I think. I asked if she had Covid and she said it was the flu. The worst she has ever felt . She said she wasn't sure what was worse the flu or Covid. And she had the flu shot.
It just seems to be really bad this year.
There is an antiviral medication for the flu -- Tamiflu. (There might be more than one, actually, but Tamiflu is the only one I can think of.) Might be worth looking into.
How's it going, Sheryl? Did Mr S start his new school?
Laura, he started last week. So far, so good.
