I don't know what the actual turnout figures were, but a week before the election early voting had gone up 22% from the 2018 midterms in my county.
In other news, a project that really had me worried has fallen through, so Yahoo! We also lost out on one that I thought was a sure thing and would likely have run extremely smoothly, which I'm not so jubilant about, but the silver lining is that between the two I'm now freed up to personally run Production on some books that I feel very proprietary about and would have hated to turn over to someone else.
Timelies all!
I have tomorrow off, but Gary has work and Mr. S has school. I have an appointment at the dealer for my car to take care of some things mentioned at the last maintenance visit that I hadn't had time for.
Freed up time is a good thing, Matt.
Just got back from the dog park. Loving my new home and environment. A lot.
I have to say that unsubscribing from politicians' emails actually works!
So glad to hear that, Laura! That took some doing.
I went to the DMV -they have a new office-so it was new and they had good flow for most things except the way the initial line is set up. The way it's roped and signed people were standing so they blocked the door and the an employee kept having to tell everyone to wait on the other side of the line.
I didn't have a ton of time to kill before work (I worked in the afternoon covering the online pick up area) but I went to the recraft thrift store and looked around, There was one thing I had my eye on but I was waffling over spending the money for it But! someone else had bought it so I didn't have to worry. I did find a a couple of cool things.
And then I went to work and somehow it felt like I was there for hours and hours and time was just dragging BUT at the same time it was kind of busy and I felt I barely had a moment of peace.

That's great! You might not need a sailboat after all.
I haven't given up on the floating life, just put it off for the next chapter. There still aren't many available here, even after the hurricanes.
Timelies all!
We just can't get a break with Mr. S. He had a major meltdown at school today and trashed his classroom. Gary had to go pick him up, and we've been told to keep him home next week while the school figures out where to go with him.(this was the second time this week he flipped his desk) We started looking into various resources, including places that do partial hospitalizations. We're kinda frazzled here, which is no surprise.
I'm so sorry, Sheryl. I do hope you can find a solution that works for all of you. You and Gary must be exhausted.
