Oh, hell, I still need to vote. I kept ot doing it because I had plenty of time and now I have not so much time. Story of my life.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I'll be voting tomorrow in person, but have remembered to save my ballot so I can surrender it.
I also have to take Prubs into the vet because there's a new mass on her shoulder (where it was removed before) and it's gotten big in a hurry. So...probably another surgery for her, and that makes me sad and anxious. Also she's getting old and I just don't know how many surgeries I'm willing to put her through. She bounced back pretty quickly last time, and that was a more complex surgery with masses in two different places.
Anyway, she's a sweet little nugget and I'm worried about her.
I'd worry more about the election but it seems like a foregone conclusion that we'll lose the House. So I'm just going to hold out hope for some silver linings, like Stacey Abrams or Fetterman in PA.
Aw, Prubs.
Timelies all!
I'm voting in person tomorrow, before I go to work.
Anyway, kind of reeling and wanted to spew out my immediate reactions somewhere...
Very unsettling for sure. ~ma as needed.
I'll vote in person tomorrow before Nicole arrives, and surrender the ballot I didn't ask for or use. not that I have a lot of hope for Florida. Let's have some ~ma that the DeSantis and Rubio voters don't want to face the storm and stay home.
~ma for Prubs!
I'm sick about losing the house. The lengths they will go to is astounding. I don't want to see Nancy hand over the gavel.
Oh man, -t, your job is always throwing you around! That's a lot to live with.
I'll be working the polls tomorrow and voting on my break. Here's hoping there are more people coming in than for the primary (despite the fact that basically every race here was decided in the primary...).
Boy, I wish I could sleep through tomorrow. Maybe even the rest of the week.
My ballot never came but I was able to log in, fill out my ballot online, print it out (including a page to tape to the envelope so it goes the right place and postage is free) and drop it in the mail. Sure, there’s something lost from the feel of going to the polls, but I do love mail in voting. (And a few times have had lines for the ballot drop box, which is kinda like being in line to vote…)
Got a wake up call this morning about remembering to check smoke alarm batteries at the time change.
Literally, as in my neighbor banging on my door at 6 am.
The house across the alley from us was fully engulfed, smoke and sparks pouring everywhere. We hosed down everything we could, crossed our fingers for the garage and waited.
Three houses now fully on fire. Firefighters running hoses through the yard. We packed go bags just in case but it looks like things are quieter now.
Fuhreaky.
Oh no, Brenda! Not a good way to start the day at all. I'm sorry about the losses for your neighbors. Scary.
Here a little woot woot for being out of the cone for Nicole as she is headed a bit north of us now. Still will be a wet sloppy mess with flooding and king tide and all that, but the winds shouldn't be bad at all.
