It's a quiet Monday in here.

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I’ve been working on a 5-10 minute presentation for my interview on Wednesday. Right now it’s looking closer to 15. At least I feel like I can speak to the proposed topic.
Sending the interview~ma in advance. It sounds like you are very comfortable with the expectations.
DH isn't coming until the 31st so it will be a chilly couple of weeks here. I got my most recent electric bill today, and, Yikes! The thing I need to call them about is that it says 'Non Heat', which indicates to me that they have a different system for people who heat with electric. Umm, I didn't go from ~600 kWh over the summer to over 2,400 kWh if I wasn't using my electric to heat this place. So, maybe a credit can happen? Anyway, if it is a choice of freezing my butt off or paying a bunch for warmth, then I know my decision. Hopefully the place will be insulated better by next year which will make a big difference. That said, it was 31 outside when I went to the gym yesterday morning. eta: still likely better than the people heating with oil
TJ's Pumpkin Blondies are delicious and would recommend... but they ain't blondies. They're really good pumpkin bread.
Timelies all!
Not much new here.
Trader Joe’s was out of the maple popcorn yesterday and when I asked about it they said they ordered more but it won’t be there until next week?!? Boo. Massive booooo.
Also boo to work just because I am still not fabulously wealthy somehow, and that seems unfair.
That does seem unfair
^That and no pumpkin butter at my TJs both seem extremely unfair.
My friend, D, is staying with us for a few days while his floors are redone. It's fun! He's one of the two people I "work from Zoom" (WFZ) with a lot during the week -- we keep each other company. We joked that it was like live Zoom. Anyway, nice to have a loooooonnnnngtime friend around for chatting and stuff.
Other than that, I have so much to get done this week. Yikes.
Stay warm, Laura!
Interview ~ma coming your way, Callie.
Thanks, beekaytee! Brendon is going to talk to them tomorrow and make sure we are all on the same page.
You are most welcome, Laura. Launching two lawsuits against bad-actor landlords, fighting in court for 7 years and then moving 3 times in 3 months, I am what you might call a citizen expert on these matters.
And, if there were such a thing as an honorary paralegal, I would be that. I've had 5 lawyers tell me that I'm better prepared, researched and organized than they are. It's not the compliment they may have thought that was, but that doesn't make it NOT true. I think several of them were resentful that I knew enough not to accept shoddy work.
I hope all this travel and shifting of objects goes better than you can imagine!
Brendon did the heavy lifting with research for this choice. The condo needed to be built after the new stringent hurricane codes, be seriously pet friendly, and include gym and beach access. It has that and more. He only found ~5 building in the area that fit the criteria. Also he talked to a number of people coming and going, including the valet and residents as they walked their dogs in the little doggie area. (talking to random people is so not a stretch for him) All were friendly, all said they loved the environment. The valet showed him where our parking spots were and had him bring his truck in to make sure it cleared the garage entry. It did, barely. Last step, the interview call, is at 2:30 today, but all concerned tell me that is routine and we already are approved.
eta: Pix, Google tells me 4 miles from the Greek restaurant in Wilton Manors, just pop down Oakland Park to the beach.
