Woke up at 5 for no reason(other than my stupid brain keeps doing this shit) and didn't really get back to sleep. Went grocery shopping in the morning, and put away the clean dishes/cups/utensils in the afternoon.

I’ve had an excellent 24 hours, even though it did not involve TJ’s or pumpkin. I took the afternoon off yesterday to do my Halloween decorations and make up for working Monday which I wasn’t supposed to. Today I’ve dog walked x several and did yard work and enjoyed some seriously beautiful fall weather, and then this afternoon took a friend to see a dynamite play at the Goodman, courtesy of our own awesome aurelia. Then stopped and got a slice of caramel apple cider pie on the way home.
I might have to work some tomorrow but I feel like I’ve done some solid weekending.

Matt, I like the details in the kitchen. I hope an inspection shows that the owners just want to move to FL before winter or suchlike.
May I have some interview ~ma next Wednesday, please? I have an interview at a place near my sister (and near Matt’s potential home for that matter), that looks awesome. Interesting work, good reviews on Glassdoor (unless you’re an adjunct, but they get screwed over everywhere), potentially a serious pay hike. I’d lose proximity to my current localistas, but gain a lot more to family.

Today I ran in the woods (left the aging GSD behind), made bread, bought a case of wine for my niece's birthday present, bought groceries, did laundry, and listened to podcasts about LotR:RoP. Dinner was salad with roast chicken.
Tonight I'm reading and sort of watching Chef's Table: Pizza, which I find very soothing.

Bought glasses, ate Caribbean sandwiches, and did the corn maze! But it was so smoky out that my throat hurts now. Did not watch the crazy 18 inning playoff game. Apparently they stopped selling beer in the 7th inning (normal) but did not restart.
I saw some very cute glasses that I was tempted by but they would’ve been $300 or so, and the pair I got were $95. Since they’re really just for distance/driving at night, I can’t justify the crazy expensive glasses like I used to when I wore them all day every day.
