Urgent Care doctor thinks it's a bad sinus/pharynx/throat infection. I got a steroid shot for the swelling, and Rx for 2 weeks of antibiotics and prednisone.
Bad timing, throat!
I got a steroid shot when they diagnosed me with strep and it felt better by the next day, so hopefully you'll get quick relief.
I hope the steroid shot helps right away, Tep, and good luck to Tim.
I’ve been at the library bookstore for nearly 3 hours with only two customers who didn’t buy much. 10 minutes until I’m out of here and I have the wandering costumer looking at everything.

Puffy jaw is less puffy already, so that seems promising. Still waiting to hear about an eye appointment for Tim.
I ate some self-pity pumpkin ice cream.
Mmm, self-pity pumpkin ice cream sounds very good. Glad there is less puffiness, hope other improvements also manifest all over the place.
Timelies all!
Sorry you've been dealing with so much crap, Steph.
So, things did not go to plan. First, Mr. S was sick, with some sort of flu that was going around his school, so we did not go to my MIL's house. (She sent food, which was nice) Then Gary got sick so we didn't go over to her house for services. (The nanny picked up Mr. S and took him to her house for a few hours.) We ended up "breaking the fast" early(I was the only one who actually fasted, since Gary was sick and had soup) after which Mr. S wanted to go outside. We told him no, but he ran out anyway and had a meltdown when Gary tried to bring him in. (He trashed a couple of a neighbor's potted plants, which led to a visit from said neighbor who berated us for not controlling him-not helped by his refusal to apologize.)
Both Gary and Mr. S went to sleep early, and Mr. S went to school today.
Okay, Tim’s eyeball is fine — he doesn’t need eye surgery, and the retina is fine, and he’ll follow up with the ophthalmologist in a month. He does have floaters and some vitreous changes, but nothing that would damage his eyesight. So he IS having the lung surgery tomorrow. What a roller coaster! But at least the surgery will be over and done with.
Wow that is a roller coaster Teppy!!
Friend and I went to an art museum, the downtown library, Pike Place Market, a bookstore, and either a very late lunch or very early dinner. Came home, snuggled the dog, called both our moms (which is how we know each other) and went to Trader Joe’s for snacks. Tomorrow, tbd!
Oh my goodness! What a roller coaster catching up on Natter was just now! So much love and support to Epic — may the radiation work the the drain be a thing of the past quickly. Sheryl, so much continued support to you and Gary with Mr. S. Teppy, holy crap, what a day. I guess it ended relatively good on the scale of WTF?
So he IS having the lung surgery tomorrow.
Plot twist!
I think that deserves
