Thrive to spite them

I've been having really really strange dreams lately, usually on the disturbing side once I wake up, in the dream they don't feel that weird but when I wake up I realize how weird and off they are. which probably isn't helping.

Last night I had a weird dream and part of it I was watching some baking show on Food Network that was hosted by -- some mix of Clinton Kelly and someone else, I don't remember but I knew in the dream and he had a female cohost that was his girlfriend or wife or something ...whoever the guy was he looked like Clinton Kelly kinda but he wasn't him. Anyway the whole baking competition was boring and stupid and someone made a dessert with peaches and Clinton Kelly look a like host made a joke about "teach us about peaches" but kind of in a sing song way so it really referenced Fuck the Pain Away by Peaches and then I was looking at Twitter and Facebook blowing up as people were like - did he really?? -and people sharing the clip to see if it was real everyone just imagined it. And I had posted it on my FB and in the dream I could read several comments of people responding and tagging different people.

It was very weird, but better than some of the ones I've been having.

Also today FSU is playing at 3:30 on ABC which we don't get over the air so M and I were going to go to Mom's to watch it and spend the night since i have the days off. But now M's mom ordered a tv from Wal mart (instead of going to the store to buy it) and it's going to be delivered today and she wants "needs" M here to get it set up. Which she does need help getting it in place and set up and figured out, but she has other people she could ask for help. We don't know when it's going to get delivered so I may be going up to Mom's by myself. Which sometimes I like but Mom was saying she missed seeing M and she missed his hugs (he is a great hugger) and M wanted to go to the cool toy store up there so it just sucks. Since he doesn't have a car and his mom's truck is only for driving really locally if I go up then he won't be able to come up after.

So that kind of sucks.

Love one another.

Every November from '75 to '78 (so I was eight to eleven) my folks and I would go to Sanibel for a week's vacation; I have good memories of my parents getting along well (they divorced in the summer of '79) and me riding my bicycle like a maniac all over the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge while my parents watched birds.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We didn't even make it into the psychologist's office. Yes, she knows what we're dealing with, but mostly focused on what we did wrong. Sigh...

Last night was peaceful, but only because Mr. S fell asleep right after dinner. He woke up around 6:15 this morning. Today has had its ups and downs. Gary took him to an indoor miniature golf place that also had an arcade, and he had a meltdown because he didn't win at the claw games. He doesn't understand that those games are extremely difficult to win, and doesn't deal with frustration well.

Sheryl I know it has to be frustrating you have someone focusing on things that could be done differently than you have been doing but...it's an important thing to be able to give up coping mechanisms or techniques that haven't been working. It gives you a chance to find out what will work and what will make all your lives more peaceful.

Well this was an exciting soccer day! My team had crept up to second place and this weekend was the last regular season games. But the #1 team (Portland) was playing the last place team, so we all figured no way we could beat them. But then the last place team (NY) pulled off a tie (!!) and my team won tonight and so they win the regular season! (And get a home playoff game and a bye week for the first week of playoffs). So that was exciting!!

Also I cut my hair and re-dyed it hot pink. And bought some boot cut jeans. Because they remind me of my early 20s, whereas the baggy jeans I just couldn’t handle. Maybe next year. Of course, boot cut in seattle are silly in the winter but whatever.

May be getting a new house. We're moving North to get away from the heat and a bit for politics as well.

It's gorgeous!
