When you look back at this, in the three seconds it'll take you to turn to dust, I think you'll find the mistake was touching my stuff.

Our wings are not tired.

Ugh. Climate control does come in handy.

What are the weekend plans? Family friend is visiting for a few days. He lives up near the St. Lawrence. I'm roasting butternut squash for a curried coconut cream variety of soup to make with it. Going to be out and about as much as possible as the Fall leaves are impressive. Go for a last boat ride (well bundled) before DH pulls the boat out for winter. Also need to finish shrink wrapping the windows to cut down on the drafts and keep whatever heat my little space heaters produce inside. The send DH off to Florida probably on Monday.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Why is today SOOO SLOOOOWWWW?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We’re going to a garlic festival Sunday but we don’t have any other plans.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Flu shots tomorrow, woohoo.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Dana, Jim and I are getting our flu and bivalent boosters tomorrow as well. Woo and indeed hoo.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

My brother is calling in the IOU I gave him (he asked for) a few years ago for his birthday and we are going to see Cabaret at a local theatre. I've seen the movie before, but never the stage version. I'm looking forward to it, except for the prospect of trying to find parking in Old Town, not pretty.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We had an appointment with a psychologist last night.(All of us) Mr. S had another meltdown and ran off, which culminated with him pulling the fire alarm. Every day a new disaster.

It's supposed to rain all weekend, which is going to be delightful for us. Sigh...

Oh, Sheryl, I'm so sorry. This is so much.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm not definitely crediting the chopped cheese... but it was a particularly good one with a just-right balance of seared and moist meat, really good tomatoes, and perfectly distributed cheese.

I am eating cheese enchiladas (no green onions because TJ's hath forsaken me) because I finally shopped today so cheese once again is in the house. They now will be eaten in honor of your dad's recovery. It's melty cheese, same vibe.

(Saw the First We Feast on chopped cheese and really want to try one. Must return to NY.)

If moving is a real option, amyp, I'd consider it. Or at least time for an honest Pro / Con list.

I'm looking forward to it, except for the prospect of trying to find parking in Old Town, not pretty.
That should be so much fun. I expect that a parking place will open like magic. And once you park the car, it's all mariachi music and maybe even a margarita. Then life is a Cabaret for a while. (I hate parking there but it's a small part of the evening so I feel the need to cheer you on)

He had the meltdown with the psychologist? They definitely know his reactions and maybe triggers then. Man, so hard. For him as well. I can't believe that Mr. S is living his best life either and that's just as sad for all of you. Wish I could pause the rest of the world and give you and Gary a break together though. I even just opened a bottle of wine.
