I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That's awesome, lisah!

I want to go there when I die.

It's been a while, but I don't remember a coffin and urn section

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

We had Juneteenth last year, so now we'll see what happens next year! (one of those should be "this year," I guess.) But we get all the time off, as you may have noticed.

I mean, an urn is a container!

Usually when I think of New Year's Steve I think of Steve Rogers, but this year maybe Steve Trevor?

Juneteenth will be a Saturday, are y'all getting Juneteenth (observed) off? That seems more momentous, somehow.

I need a gif from The Big Lebowski mentioning modestly priced receptacles and somehow working in The Container Store now

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm watching cooking shows and drinking tea while watching ltc cycle between dressing up like a princess, running around with a sword and shield, playing with her new pink haired doll, and playing with her new robot dinosaur that roars. It's delightful!

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Work gave us day after T'Day and Christmas Eve as extra days off...

EXTRA days off? Don't most people who work in offices get those as a matter of course? I know retail made a big deal out of Black Friday (up until this year, anyway), but I didn't think that was a thing for most white collar jobs, and around here everything but convenience stores and pharmacies are closed on Dec. 24th.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I haven't had either off. I do get the federal days that I haven't had in other jobs, like MLK.

We get the day after Thanksgiving off but our warehouse is open. We don't usually get Xmas eve off but we do get Dec 26th. We also get Good Friday off which still seems weird to me.

No changes to our holiday schedule for 2021. I am kind of looking forward to our annual Winter Party that is usually the Friday before MLK day not happening (I assume, they haven't actually said but it can't possibly happen as it usually does and if they want to do some sort of Zoom thing I am definitely not attending) because that always made the long weekend feel shorter.

I am fulfilling one of my least favorite roles, human mail merge. Bah.

Typically my job gives the day after Thanksgiving and a half-day for Christmas Eve. (But then we're off until after New Year's.)
