All right, no one's killing folk today, on account of our very tight schedule.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Yeah, the caution thing is really variable. My landlord’s favorite plumber basically quit residential work because he got sick of clients hovering over his shoulder without masks—in late 2020. My car mechanics are all mask-schmask.

Most of my handimen and tradefolk of various sorts - and there’ve been A LOT this year [cries] - have been actually very good about it. The Wisconsin ones less so but most of that work has been outside.

What’s a good charity to help Puerto Rico right now?

Thrive to spite them

Tom I am not 100%sure the best places to donate but I came across an article and it links to Puerto Rico based organizations and others that have been working in Puerto Rico before.

There us also World Central Kitchen . Here is a tweet from them. [link]

They were there for Hurricane Maria and the earthquakes as well so they have been continuing work there and other islands to help.

Our wings are not tired.

Well, DH had the rebound effect after the Paxlovid and is positive again. I am still negative. Sucks.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well, DH had the rebound effect after the Paxlovid and is positive again. I am still negative. Sucks.

That's bullshit! Dang.

Biden might say it's over, but it's still out there.

Happy birthday wishes to Sophia Brooks today! I hope that it is a most delightful day and that the year to come is filled with happiness. Sophia shares her birthday with smonster, who has hasn't been seen often around these parts lately, but I do hope she is spoiled appropriately today with well wishes.

Biden might say it's over, but it's still out there.

I get the whole technical 'pandemic' classification and all that. It has changed, particularly for those of us smart enough to get our vaccinations. But yeah, crazy contagious and disruptive in life to a large degree still.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My plans to see my four year old niece who lives in SF have been cancelled because practically everyone on that side of the family has covid. I haven't seen her since she was 1, and I'm very grateful I never told ltc we were going to see her so that she doesn't have to be devastated.

Did I ever post here that I went to high school with the woman selling pictures/memorabilia of her Billionaire college boyfriend? She was 3 years ahead of me, and I don't remember her at all.
