Death is your art. You make it with your hands day after day. That final gasp, that look of peace. And part of you is desperate to know: What's it like? Where does it lead you? And now you see, that's the secret. Not the punch you didn't throw or the kicks you didn't land. She really wanted it. Every Slayer has a death wish. Even you.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

-t, between the car parts and the lobster bisque, you are winning at today!

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Eeeeeee dealer just called they had the parts he needs in stock he thinks my car will be ready tomorrow I am so happy!

That's awesome!

Also cool is the kitty wanting bisque. She knows it'll be super tasty.

(my tendency to decide at the last minute that no, I do not want to leave the house after all gets in the way of a lot of things)
Me too, -t, me too.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

And I already have my insurance payment. This has been so much easier than I expected!

Miss Kitty seemed to very much enjoy licking the bowl.

Our wings are not tired.

Awesome, -t! Things should be easier than anticipated from time to time. And Miss Kitty has a most excellent day too!

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I’m glad things are working out for you, -t.

Today has been chaotic, but I think most of the chaos was productive. So there’s that.

Wow that’s fast, t! I went to get my covid booster and they were like “yeah we don’t have it” which was super annoying. Why not send me a cancellation?

Ugh, meara

Productive chaos is still pretty hard to get through, but congrats on productivity, Calli

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Poor dog and dh and broken windshield and meltdown child.

Laura, I hope you and DH both test neg soon.

today sucked balls at work and tomorrow will likely be just as bad, but then I am off Friday and Monday, so pppfffttttt work! The issues are zero of my own making and many of them could have been avoided all together. One thing that is causing a LOT of the issues is people having too much work, but then not taking any time to hire for the vacant positions or get us back information about getting some help with remaining COVID funds. I had to use big voice with a person in a higher position than me that she was pushing me into a corner of going to our big boss and saying "they will not get me the information you asked for regarding additional help from this source despite the fact that they end every email with a statement about how they are understaffed and have too much work. Do you want me to have that conversation with her?"

Mac has an interview at Aldi tomorrow at 10:30, so all positiveness that can be sent would be appreciated. I would love love love it to be a 40 hr a week job, but I know that is doubtful.

Why not send me a cancellation?

That's the whole point of making appointments. If you can't make it, you cancel and let them know. If they can't make it (by running out of zoinkboibles), they let you know and offer to reschedule you.

I had my surprise!diagnostic mammogram rescheduled to this Friday because the day I was scheduled next week didn't have technician / radiologist / boob photographer scheduled to read the x-rays. Um, also, I didn't know I needed a diagnostic until I was called to schedule it. So that was fun. The word density was mentioned and the word tumor was not, going with that.

Fingers crossed and all positiveness will be sent. A job will be good for him. And a weight off for you.

Dog update: Shelby is eating which is awesome. I returned the unopened food she wouldn't eat to the vet and bought more of the one that she will eat.

I also weighed her today at the vet. A week ago she was 58.5 lbs. when she was first seen, today she was 54.0 lbs. She should be ~60lbs, maybe a little less but her hind is skin and bones currently. So we've got a ways to go.

But she's showing some spunk; eating and drinking and I'm happy to count her calories to make sure she's getting enough of them. We've transitioned to at least a false late summer where it's not so intolerably hot so exercising outdoors is an option again.

Human update: Dog doing better is a relief. Another mammogram, huh? I feel like my doctor should have called and mentioned it when she put the order in but whatever. Why do I not write grocery lists? Preferably with meals planned within?
