I wonder how much longer the monarchy will last. Certainly not another 70 years.I'm betting they'll wind down like a bunch of other European royal families. They're rich and have titles, but most of them have jobs and basically private lives.

I wonder if Charles will choose a different regnal name?
The PM is referring to him as "King Charles III", so -
I wish they’d abolish it now.
I also wondered if Charles would choose a different name. Guess not.
On the one hand it would kind of be a shame for such a long-standing thing like the monarchy to end. On the other hand, I’m not sure the world will still be habitable in 70 years so…

Tired....
Hey, Sheryl. Is a nap a possibility?
My mom texted me said "Every pub in Ireland is going to run out of booze tonight."
Apparently an email went out to Sinn Féin party members which essentially read "We shouldn't need to say it, but do NOT act like arseholes on social media; things are fraught enough just at the moment".
Trying to remember anything about the first two Charles and only coming up with spaniels. And something about an actress, maybe?
Well, Charles the First got his head cut off during the English Civil War; Charles the Second spent a lot of time in exile until the Restoration . . . it's not the name I would have picked.
Those seem kind of memorable. Not periods I've actually studied, though.
Hoping for third time lucky, perhaps?
I'm having my hand surgery on Monday. I still don't know what time it'll be -- they'll call me tomorrow to tell me that.
Also, I was looking at the local theatre season, and I saw that Cincinnati Playhouse is having an "immersive" murder mystery play in a corn maze, which might be the most Ohio thing I've ever seen, and I think I have to go to it.
