My PCP's phlebotomist is the absolute best. I've never had a bruise from him taking blood, and the vaccinations he has given me only hurt if I pushed on them. He is bat shit crazy in other ways, but the man is brilliant with a needle.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.

I have my 2nd booster scheduled for Tuesday and my flu shot a week after that, so all I have to do is not test positive for Covid or get sick with anything else before those appointments. I could do them together, but I'm choosing to get the Moderna after 3 Pfizers and I'm not sure how much it's going to wreck me.
My manager told me that I technically don't have to isolate after close contact exposure at DragonCon, and I MAY have responded that the CDC may have given up on it but I haven't.
Timelies all!
I guess I need to figure out where to get my second COVID booster shot. I was spoiled by being able to get the first three shots at work, and I'll get my flu shot there as well.
I’m back from MI and being lazy for the rest of the week. Running around after three kids under four is exhausting, even though adults outnumbered them 2 to 1. I have my Omicron booster and flu shot next week.
I’m trying to understand the recommendations for the new Covid. I’ve heard that with the most recent variants fading it might be wise to time it for a few weeks in advance of any big expected events or get togethers instead of going for it right away.
That's why I waited until today to get my booster (well, that and hoping by a month before my Vegas trip the Moderna Bivalent vaccine would be available—it was!). Not even a sore arm to show for it as yet, but we'll see how tomorrow goes.
The Queen has died. Phone so I won’t link but BBC has it.
I just heard some coworkers talking about it. I guess this is literally the end of an era, eh? It's going to be weird hearing any mention of the king when that starts happening. It always strikes me as weird even when it was historically accurate to whatever I'm reading.
My mom texted me said "Every pub in Ireland is going to run out of booze tonight."
I wonder how much longer the monarchy will last. Certainly not another 70 years.
That'll be interesting to watch. I am always surprised how many monarchies are still in existence when I hear of one.
