Oooh, stand mixer! That's exciting.
OK, I think this might be it. [link]

I finally cleaned my kitchen counters and did some reorganizing to get more counter space yesterday,
I could really stand to do that. It would make getting back into bread making easier, and I keep thinking I’d like to try some new things in that area.
Stand mixer, woo!
I have shelves like that on one wall of the spare room that doesn't have an actual closet, and IIRC I had to add rods underneath to make them useful for hanging stuff. At any rate, there are hanging rods more or less like the like the link on them now. As a data point for that maybe being the solution. Good luck!
I went through the clothes in my bureau and put a bunch of stuff that’s either too small or out of season or just not something I feel like wearing, in my closet. Now there’s a lot less stuff and hopefully I’ll feel better about reaching for clothes?
I assume that others do the cycle of “I need something to wear hey this pile of clean laundry is clean I will wear it oh I need to do laundry, now there is a new pile of clean laundry which I will wear things from and never wear the things that are put away”? Trying to avoid that for a bit. Doubt I’ll be successful, but you never know?
Timelies all!
Yay for antibiotics working!
I've been needing to clean up my computer desk for a loooong time, but usually get the "don't wanna"s when it comes down to doing it.
I am pretty impressed with how little I've done over this vacation. I mean, there was Stuff To Do for several of the days, but today is the first time I've even thought I might need a project.
You know I always support doing nothing, or little.
One more workday for me for the year! I volunteered to do some extra after hours stuff to help get our ERP and warehouse mgmt software to have matching inventories because having them not match up is extremely annoying. I hope it doesn’t take too long. Then it’s a 3 day weekend, yay!
I don’t have any vacation time scheduled until February and then it’s just a 4 day weekend and I already feel like I’m gonna get really squirrelly from constantly working. Hopefully I can start slacking off more during the workday to compensate, put more home in my work from home lifestyle.
Another four day weekend begins! I slothed the hell out of the last one, so I'm gonna try to Adult and get some things done this time. My to-do list is a Long Boi and no way I'll get through it all, but I can make a dent.
My closets are wide but not deep, I had the "hang the clothes in the little squares" problem too. Finally pulled out all the shelves and replaced them with ones that worked better and let me slide hangers back and forth as the god of laundry intended. I'm still dissatisfied, though, because there's so much vertical space at the top of one closet that doesn't have shelves and so I can't effectively use it. I need a stacking solution that won't fall on my head.
Steph, I'm amazed yet not surprised that there's so much research happening on Covid, the AMA has relaxed requirements for references. clutches pearls Why, what's next? They'll let you cite Wikipedia?!
My front door only has a deadbolt. It's impossible to lock it from inside and then leave, or to lock it without the key, so I can't lock my keys in the house! One less thing for me to worry about. I like things that function properly with minimal input from me.
Man, I really need to vacuum.
I just found out that my new company gives us the 31st as a holiday as well as the 1st, so yay! But we don't get Inauguration Day (although it's a federal holiday so DC will be basically shut down)...at least I can "go to work" in my PJs that day.
That's nice Volans! We've occasionally gotten the 31st but only if it's like, a Friday or Monday? I'm wondering what holidays we'll get this year--last year we got MLK for the first time, instead of "Spring Holiday" which was always Good Friday. Not sure if that'll continue this year, though I feel like they ought to, given the current climate...
