I should have done more to protect myself against Covid.
It's hard to protect yourself against disease when infected people insist on spending time in your space while taking no precautions.
Happy birthday, meara!

Talked to dr. He said I seemed to be going in the right direction. And to take something like musinex to get all the junk out ... I have phlegmy cough now . kinda . But basically if I still feel like this in a week call him back.
M is still miserable feeling. I'm pushing cold medicine on him. I stopped taking the Paxlovid because the side effects were making me feel worse than covid at this point.
In news that the world doesn't totally suck - the Florida judge who ruled a teenager was too immature to get an abortion was voted out of office.
Oh that is good news, Askye, re the judge!
I bet the apartment people would consider it an emergency if water started leaking into the apartment below yours. I'm not suggesting it, just questioning their judgment.
Hope you both start feeling better, askye.
Yay for new curvy windows!
Boo for slow maintenance.
Went to and orthopedist this morning, because I was suspicious of the duration and type of pain my arm was still having even though ER said no fracture -- yeah, there is a non-displaced fracture at the radial head near the elbow.
I feel vindicated that my gut was right that it wasn't just bruising and at the same time annoyed with myself for not following up with a specialist sooner, but...
Anyway, same directions for taking care of it as I've been doing anyway + some Tramadol for pain and a sling to use for a week if it helps.
But mostly, vindication!
But mostly, vindication!
Sweet, sweet vindication! It's better than Tramadol. (Usually.)
My arm felt better almost immediately...
I'm not suggesting it, just questioning their judgment.
Word. I didn't want to antagonize the person coming to fix it and I'm sure they encounter unreasonable people a lot, but I wasn't going to file an emergency request for a slow drip.
Timelies all!
Happy Birthday Meara!
As it turns out, we are all going to Chicago for Worldcon, me on Thursday and Gary & Mr. S on Friday as Mr. S has school starting tomorrow.
Vindication is always sweet, even if having a fracture is worse than not having one! But ouch, take care!!
