We had ltc's family party yesterday and we have her kids party today. There is still very few kids coming to the kids party, but hopefully ltc will still have fun. I have forgotten how to interact with other humans. So, wish me luck with the parents today.

Dinner with a friend tonight. I am going to drive the car around the block to see if I can drive reliably yet... if not, DH will chauffer, which is kind.
I've gotten a little whiny in my brain about still feeling pain in my arm from a fall a whole week ago, which is pretty eye-rolly, considering how lucky I was. And yet, sometimes the crankies get loose.
I think being able to drive will make me feel better, so let me go test that...

We hosted my MiL over the last five days, and it was just lovely and convenient to have the garden apartment available for her.
She and Matilda spent a day poking around and shopping, and it turns out Nana likes riding buses for all the people watching opportunity.
I've got a friend pencilled in to visit in October, and I'm looking forward to doing more of that.

I saw that the temperature would be in the upper 70s/low 80s today, so I wanted to go out and take some photos. I got about two blocks before I was completely drenched in sweat, so I gave up.
It looks like the humidity will break later this week, thankfully.

Humidity is the worst.
I went camping all weekend—two friends went into Thursday night to try to get a spot and two of us joined them Friday mid-day. We didn’t really do much—played cards and had a fire and so on. We were going to use their inflatable kayak but when we tried realized they had the pump and the kayak but not the tube that goes between those things…oops. But the park was pretty and the campsite nice and it vaguely misted overnight but didn’t rain on us!
