Angel: Yeah, I never told anyone about this, but I-I liked your poems. Spike: You like Barry Manilow.

I still don’t have any patience for watching people being shitty to each other. So while I’m perfectly fine watching groups of people getting eviscerated on something like Prey, I can’t get through Sandman, and I’m even finding Harley Quinn a little tough. I’m pretty much limited to Lower Decks and She-Hulk right now. Really looking forward to the new Star War next month, though.

Ah, right! We started For All Mankind and I started Lower Decks and Sandman myself. Forgot about those. We were also watching Foundation.

Paper Girls, I will check out, thanks.

not meant to denote real physical hugs, of course, just sympathy for a sucky situation

Best wishes for a good outcome.

Yay good meds manager, sj!

"Matilda, stop your homework and come watch TV with us; we're getting behind on our shows!"

Ha! I have been bad at this discipline for a while now, reading 100 year old light literature instead of watching current TV and I don't even know why

Will keep my eyes open for something suitable for Scola, though, because I think I understand the parameters

Also, I don’t have Amazon Prime, so no Paper Girls or LoTR: Appendix B for me.

Dana, the new med is Paxil. I’ll let you know if it helps at all after I start.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Thanks, sj.

We’re getting the back to school teacher crowd today. So, I actually have customers!

Hooray, book buyers!

BTW, today's Daily Science Fiction ( I think that's what it was) was kind of all about punctuation, in case anyone would enjoy that

Thrive to spite them

Steph I hope your appointment goes well... I mean I hope it isn't too stressful for you and your dad ends up with inpatient care.

Thrive to spite them

M's mom is just .., she's selfish and impulsive and she has a lot of mental health issues but the drs also want her to get brain scan because they think there is something else going on.

M is miserable just.. totally miserable and I had a telehealth appointment where they offered me the Paxlovid and I'm taking and I feel bad because M hasn't wanted to deal with the VA but I may encourage him to call and see if he can get it. He's just feeling awful and then he is furious at his mom because all the sneezing and body aches and laying down all day has been aggravating his back and he lost his sense of taste so he's not eating and he's not really hungry but he is.

When this whole worker's comp thing is resolved finding a new place to live is going to be a priority. I mean rent around here has gone crazy as more luxury places are being built and more STRs are popping up but there has to be something.
