We were talking about that! (Also wondering if we could rig up an electric shock whenever the phone rings, because we are also bad kids.)
We used a video Alexa so we could actually shout at him sometimes. I mean, we got it for more reasons but that turned out to be a handy one a few times. Or the Ring doorbell, if he happened to be out in the yard.
Good luck with the appointment, Steph, and I'm sorry you're having to deal with all of this.
Fingers crossed for this morning, Steph.
I hope the tacos are celebratory tacos for an appointment that goes well, as well as recovery tacos.
I had a most excellent fire for hours yesterday. Like 10' in the air of flame burning construction debris. Have to do it again today because I had to let it burn down at a reasonable hour. The pyromaniac in me is looking forward to having several a week for the next few weeks. Also, I am really good at building a fire. DH asked if I needed some kerosene to get it going, hell no! I got this.
This is the text I got from my brother this morning: "I just did a crash course through the Ohio Mental Health Code. I wanted to see where dad falls on the spectrum of gravely disabled and risk of imminent danger before we go in. It depends on how much he displays that his decision making is based on the hallucinations. However, his desire to use guns to defend himself from them does meet the definition of imminent threat to the safety of other persons and/or real property."
I have no idea what to expect out of this appointment. It's seeming more and more likely that Dad will need to be admitted as an inpatient to get the hallucinations under control. And that does seem like it would be for the best.
I am so stressed, I think I’m going to barf.
Best possible outcome ~ma for today, Teppy!
I had an appointment with a new psych meds manager yesterday who was not a condescending asshole and did not treat me like a drug seeker! So, I get to go back on the ADHD meds that were helping and am switching one of my ADs to one that is known to help with PMDD and peri menopause.

Ooh, do you mind saying which one? I think I may need to switch ADs (after a very long time, so it's not surprising, yet I still resent it).
Sneding vibes Ohio way.
sj, that's great to hear.
Love my dentist. No story there, just saw her this morning, and she's cool.
We finished Ted Lasso last night. And Only Murders. I need new stuff!
I'm working on our budget today. I've grown very careless, and I need to rein it in. Plus several deliberate big spendies in the last two months. So. There you go.

I can let you know after I pick it up from the pharmacy or when I can find the notebook I wrote about it in, which I cannot find right now because I've been without ADHD meds for a couple months.
