Oh man! If it's not one thing, it's another.

I just wrote myself a note that says "Evil, Star Trek." I signed up for Paramount+ for Drag Race and keep forgetting to watch other stuff on there.

Yikes. That’s a lot going on right now.

I’m sitting in Seattle waiting on my connecting flight to Minneapolis.

Sorry for all the weather-related trouble, msbelle.

Power was back home by the time we got home. Granted, that wasn’t until after 9, since Mr. S had a meltdown as we were leaving the restaurant and the trip home had many stops and starts. I am so tired of getting spit on, punched and having my hair pulled because he gets mad.

Sheryl I am so sorry. I am going to look for the fast acting meds that mac was on for a bit.

And it’s raining again. No power still. It’ll be dark soon so I’ll just sleep. The dogs have been fed and my spoons are gone.

Shakes pompoms overhead because today is the scrappiest of birthdays! Happy birthday to Scrappy! May the day be filled with love and joy, and may the year to come be the best one yet.

We had a quick thunderstorm yesterday that cut the heat by a lot. Still headed back up today, but what a welcome relief.

Power is back.

Yay, power.

We are driving way longer than I thought we were today for a 50th birthday party, then turning around and coming back to have people over this evening (since my niece and her fiance are coming down this weekend -- so that the three of us can go to the DC Pen Show tomorrow.)

It's all fun stuff -- and low key; we're just ordering in tonight, but it all feels like a lot.

I just wish I had realized my friend moved 45 minutes farther away than the hour they already lived from me. It happened during my hospital time, so I'm not surprised I missed the move, but... I wish I'd realized before I tried to pack it all in one weekend.

Welll, and then my niece's future in-laws threw a wrench in things by descending on the kids without checking dates -- lovely people, but just not plan-ahead, I guess? So we had to shift the day we were going to the show, so it's all kind of fucked up.

Anyway, I'm not even cranky, I'm just kind of over-mellow almost to the point of, eh, whatever. I guess that's better than being a stressball. I dunno.

Anyway, guess I'll get dressed and put some make-up on now.

And find some pep. I'm sure I have some around here somewhere.

I haven't gotten a whole lot done today. I'm going to try a New Thing, which is to reserve my bed for sleeping/napping only. Since I'm living alone now, it's not like getting up and turning on the TV in the living room is going to disturb anyone. (Indeed I've got the radio in the kitchen turned to NPR 24/7, in the hopes that the sound of voices will dissuade would-be burglars. God knows, the cats will be useless.)
