I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Back when we bought the house I live in now (2007, right before that real estate crash because I have amazing timing) I know a neighbor put in a low ball bid. I don't know *how* low, but other neighbors and the real estate agent all mentioned it (we just offered asking)

Our wings are not tired.

We bought the Delray house in 1999 and sold it in 2022 for more than 8X what we paid for it. It shows a value now somewhat higher than we sold but I felt we got out at the right time. Still struggling over finding new digs, but it will happen.

In great news, DH is heading this way Saturday. He has to drop a kid to college in St. Pete then head this way being here by Monday. I hope the porch is somewhat done before he gets here, but it will be really good to have him here for a bit.

Oh, yay for DH visit. Are you both healed up and such after your surgeries?

Water aerobics continues to be super fun. I am thinking I might start reserving a lane on other days to fake-swim on the mornings I'm not bopping around on a pool noodle with the other ladies.

By fake-swim, I mean that I'm not a good swimmer, form-wise. Oh, but now I'm remembering msbelle talking about "walking" the lane. That, I can do.

Thrive to spite them

For those of you not on Facebook...JZ and David are amazing and the Buffistas all around are awesome. Which y'all know no matter what.

Yesterday in Brevard I checked out the Habitat for Humanity Restore when I was in Brevard and found an amazing roll top desk. I took a picture and posted it saying how if it weren't for unemployment insurance not paying me I could have gotten it.

And I got a reply and then message from David saying he wanted to buy it for me.

The store was closed but Mom , Dad and E (they are all here for visit) went this morning and it was there!!! And they are bringing it down as I type this.

I'm just so happy. Last night I kept thinking about where I want to store certain things because it has all these cool drawers but I stopped myself in case it had been sold.

Today was hectic at work but I kept thinking about desk and shared the picture with a few co workers. So...I'm so happy.

When I walk past the pool at my gym in the morning I often see one lady swimming with pool noodles tucked under her for buoyancy. Seems like a good compromise (I have tried walking laps in the pool and I am just slightly too short for that to be a comfortable option)

You're not the only one with a sudden allergy attack.
