We decided this morning to do a spontaneous weekend getaway! Shenandoah Valley cabin (with requisite hot tub), innertubes and canoe on site, and we're finally going to do Lurray Caverns on the way home.
Immediately, I'm like, wait, how do two people in innertubes get back...? I don't think I have an answer. Starting to understand why you book a guided trip.

We are about 30 mins. from the cabin now.
In a crap turn of events, the hot tub is out of order, they didn't bother telling us that, and it won't be fixed until we are long gone.
I feel bait and switched. And annoyed that they haven't immediately offered a partial refund.
Honestly, we would have picked a place with a working hot tub, had we known.
I'll deal with it after the weekend, but, wow, really annoyed.

Ugh. Got woken up somewhere around 1-1:30 by a car alarm going off(not either of our cars). It actually went off for a few minutes, stopped, then resumed a few times.
And Mr. S has been wild since I got home, including dumping a large bin of Legos over my head. sigh...
Boo Hiss! No hot tub is a disappointment for sure.
