And yeah double checked the weather—106 Thursday and 105 Friday. Ugh. I suspect if I go I’ll just end up with a migraine. (And I have such a cute new swimsuit to wear!!)

More than one person said that we are lucky to have found each other and still be here and be strong, so I thought I would share with you all and remind you how much I love you.

Embracing the love this morning!

May there be many opportunities to wear the cute new swimsuit this summer, that aren't so scorching.

I have pink cheeks, and other pink places. After doing lots of chores in the morning I went and spent a couple hours lounging on the dock with my sister. Much of the time the sun was under clouds, but still lots of Vit D was achieved.

ETA: Pouring rain this morning, which I fear is going to just wash my grass seed to the lowest section rather than gently soaking the areas. May have to do this again tomorrow. Also, my sister and I decided at 6:15 to skip the gym because we are not do dedicated as to drive to town in a foggy deluge.

I had a great trip, aurelia! Very little of it went according to plan, exactly, and it all feels a bit unreal, but in a good way. Hamlet was terrific with really interesting staging and production. I don’t agree with all the choices but I understand them, and there were quite a few moments where an actor would say a line and the light bulb would go of in my head that oh, yes, that is what that means, and that’s always fun. Feels very weird to be getting ready for a normal working Monday now.

Onerous adulting avoided!

I showed up for my dentist appointment, and they didn't have me on the schedule. Not deliberate gaslighting (I have my written appointment card), just a mistake on their part. New appointment in September.

This enormous feeling of relief at no dental work today is ridiculously juvenile, very much "No school today! No test!"

I am relieved that Facilities has confirmed that the AC in the area we just moved to at work is, in fact, not fully functional and it will be fixed. I am used to no AC at home, but having to haul myself to the office and then be uncomfortably warm was really getting me down.

ALso, I had a really good answer when someone on my weekly Monday Zoom call asked how my weekend was! Usually I have done literally nothing but today I had stuff to report and he was all interested and googling the theater while we talked, so that was fun.

I’ve agreed to wait for the camping people to let me know how Wednesday goes before I drive out there Thursday. They said the cabin and RV have air conditioning, so maybe ok. (ETA: Wednesday is supposed to be the hottest day this week)

My office is perfectly air-conditioned, after I complained last year. The other half of the floor is FREEZING, but it's just nice by me. Ahhhhhh.
