Also, we are dogsitting for the next two weeks!
Matilda's friend Iris's dog, Cupid, who we've minded before. This will be her longest stay with us, but she's getting used to the fact that it's just a vacation from family not a permanent thing.
She's so sweet, and as JZ notes, there's something very homey about the click and clack of claws on a wooden floor, and an animal that's Very Excited to see you when you come home.
Cutie pie pigs. Having a dog about the place is a nice thing!
Jelly of the new tats, looking forward to pics!
Timelies all!
Ugh, I've had a headache on and off all day. Doesn't help that I have a lot of tension in my neck.
And now I have a Windows 10 machine, although we didn't finish the backup because my Chrome is too big?
Did the Secret Service do the device swap?
Cutie piggies!
For all I know our IT dept could be part of the Secret Service. Their ways are mysterious.
My have-a-million-open-tabs lifestyle means my weather app continues to tell me the weather in places I really have no business checking on, but that allows me to occasionally notice that the temperature is the same in Reykjavík and Martinez, CA
Expecting excavation crew here today to dig culverts and do whatever they do to make my swamp of a front yard into a level usable area including more parking. Also expecting the dog to go bat shit crazy. Dudes are slowly building my back porch. Summer of projects. Hope to get a bunch done before DH gets up here. Everything takes longer than it should.
Attempts to purchase a floating home continue to be challenging. We've decided to rent some cool beach area condo for a year and deal with it again next summer when hopefully the market will be more reasonable. DH is looking at a place today I really liked. 5th floor in one of the busiest beach districts with like everything in walking/biking distance. Includes 2 garage spaces which would be essential. Digits crossed.
Fingers crossed for you, Laura! And definitely take a nap if you need one. Your body clearly needs rest!!
That sounds pretty great, Laura, hope it works out
I am having a hard time convincing myself to work today. I've already had my one scheduled meeting, does anything else really need to get done?

Also the same temp this week: NYC, London, and the surface of the sun
