Hey, preaching to the choir. I thought our Lady of the Perpetual Sea Breeze was the real deal until the Divine Miss J walked right through that door and right into my ass—which is where my heart is…physiologically. I could show you an x-ray.

Thrive to spite them

Besides Vitamin D deficiency the other to loom out for is B12. My aunt (my dad's sister who was my grandmother's caregiver) was having major memory problems to the point her doctor was worried about early on set dementia. She was also having pains in her hands and wrists she thought was arthritis

Turned out her B12 was severely low . She had to get shots weekly for awhile. The pain was from nerve damage by the deficiency as well.amd i think some of the damage was permanent.

Apparently if you're enough of a power nerd, there is nothing that cannot be flowcharted.

Happy Birthday, JZ!!!!

Turned out her B12 was severely low.

I've been taking a separate B12 supplement for a month or so, because I had read that B12 can be low in people with long Covid. The blood test on Friday did test for B12 levels, and they were actually too high, which I assume means I didn't need the extra supplement and kind of ODed myself on B12. (Obviously I stopped it right away.)

Also for anyone who uses OTC vitamins...make sure if you switch brands that the dosage is the same per pill or capsule.

Mom was taking vitamin D and the store was 9ut of her normal brand so she got another and didn't pay attention to the amount and kept taking the number of pills . Turns out they were a higher dose so she was taking way too much and started having stomach pains.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

If anyone is wondering about the number of tantrums an almost 7 year old can throw a day about not being able to hug her daddy (who is still testing negative) the answer is a ton of tantrums. Otherwise we're doing okay.

Teppy, I hope not to end up with long covid, but the regular covid exhaustion is quite epic so far.

Our wings are not tired.

{{sj}} I'm not sure who it is more miserable for, you, ltc, or TCG! May this be over soon for your family.

Ugh, yes. It's so draining.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

So sorry for all y'all

I'm sorry, sj. That is nunfun (no fun, of course, but nunfun kind of cracks me up. I think I'll leave it) for anyone.

Happy Birthday, JZ! I'm not sure how I missed that exciting news!

My Vit D is severely deficient, too, but we're having issues getting anything to work with the double whammy of Celiac's and short bowel syndrome.

Gotta say, though, I am fucking doing remarkably well given those issues and more, all things considered. Pretty amazing.

Awesome Nurse Practitioner also has IBS like me (in addition to having had Covid twice), so she understood where I was coming from when I mentioned to her I had some concerns about actually absorbing vitamins. I'll ask her again when I talk to/message her about the vitamin D test result. I think maybe injections are an option? But maybe not a practical solution.

That's so great! In your pictures on FB, you definitely look full of vitality and energy.
