I thought it was just normal hot today but it's actually 105 and we are under a heat advisory. So I think I will go to the movies.
I ran around doing errands with E&K but we were mostly in air conditioned spots. I did have to use the "Max A/C" button on the car today for the first time. That is my new superhero name, btw: Max A/C!
I have been in the office most of the day, which is over air conditioned, so I had no idea.
Hm, Max A/C is not quite Max Power, but sounds a little spiffier than Mr Freeze
Timelies all!
I'm so sorry, Maria!
Mr. S is home. Gary gets home late tonight. Right now a friend of ours is here so I'm not alone in wrangling the boy.
Maria, I'm so sorry for your loss.
Sheryl, I hope the hospital stay has helped Mr. S, and that they have given you some guidance and tools to help you with his care.
What Laura said, Sheryl. How's it going?
Good luck Sheryl!
Hugs to Maria, that’s so hard.
Anyone got good tricks for a burn? I grabbed a pan handle I didn’t think was hot, and while it’s not the worst burn, it still hurts. I’ve been putting a cool cloth on it but of course as soon as I take it off or it warms up, painful. Any good tricks? Or just “hope I can fall asleep later while clutching an ice cube before it melts”?
That is my new superhero name, btw: Max A/C!
Sounds pretty cool.
In less fun news, I opened a nearly full bag of cat food to find it full of ants. Ugh, I hate those swarmy little creatures. I've just about made my peace with them outside, where they have a role, but not in my home. Anyway, Javier got to have a breakfast made entirely of treats, so as far as he's concerned it's the best morning ever.
