Tasty is what it is.
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
For the first time, I forgot to take my morning meds with me to work. &^%$#@!
Not a disaster, I made it through my morning meetings, then came home and took them. They were on the counter, in their bag, right next to where I had packed my lunch.
I'm WFH the rest of the day, and very glad to be able take advantage of the option.
But the lapse was scary. Another sign that I am slipping.
I'm sorry, DCP. I ended up keeping a set of meds in my laptop bag after forgetting to bring them with me when going to spend the weekend with my sister (twice). I figured I would not be going anywhere for any length of time without my laptop. Since then I haven't needed to use the spares.
I'm sorry, dcp. I can see how that would be disturbing if that's not a usual thing for you.

Some percentage of people you know exist because someone forgot her pill one day. I don't wish to pooh-pooh your concerns, but it seems worth pointing out that missing a daily pill is a wildly common error for children of all ages.
Thanks for the birthday wishes.
dcp it sucks when something like that happens.
So far today has been good. M & I went to lunch and then to Michaels where I got some things to organize, came home and realized the case thing I got was broken so have to take that back. We also went to the Recraft store (it's a non profit thrift store/maker place for arts and crafts and it's awesome). Stopped by Publix on the way home for cupcakes and I drove home. This is the furtherest I've driven since Thanksgiving. It was ok but right when we were close to home I was having trouble staying focused and had a minor dizzy feeling so I laid down. But it was another milestone.
Mom was going to come down but she wasn't feeling well AND it started storming so she is staying home. So M, his mom and I will go to dinner later.
Congratulations, JenP! I'm so happy for you both.
Happy birthday, askye!
We're all at Exhausted O'Clock at this stage of the move. I did 23,923 steps (almost 10 miles) yesterday and 77 flights.
My phone app tracking steps informs me I'm "Trending Higher For 10 Days" (from 10,583 steps a day up to 17,048). No shit, step tracker!
A mere 10,227 steps this morning, but it'll probably be back up to 17K by tonight.
I don't know where we're going to put all the shit we've got in boxes. We did buy two new bookcases but they won't be arriving for a bit. Now we need a new dresser for our bedroom.
We did get our other beautiful Wm. Morris rug today. So very soon, there will be a new rug in the drinking parlor, and two new rug pads down, and a less fancy but nice rug at the old apartment.
JZ found a solid oak, round kitchen table with two drop leafs at Community Thrift for $30. It looked pretty rough, but it was really solid. So she sanded it and after three coats of varnish it looks really spiff and will now live with E&K in their new kitchen with the new linoleum.

I know we're basing this on the sisters from Pushing Up Daisies, but I feel like maybe you and Jacqueline are going to need a dog named Asta, too. And start solving crimes and stuff. You're already both witty. I'm just throwing it out there.
Nice score on the table for the kids!

Would like to throw some support behind this. For dog, could read "guinea pig"
I have twice gone on a trip and forgotten my prescription meds. You'd think that after it happened once, I would have learned.
