Good to hear, Epic!
I took Mom out for a picnic at the local lake/park yesterday, after many wrong turns and finding out the nature center was closed on Mondays. Perfect day to be out in nature, it was sunny, warm, and breezy with occasional clouds to provide shade. Earlier in the weekend we bought paint for her garage door and I managed to knock enough wasps' nests down to get her sliding glass door working again (though she won't be strong enough to safely close the outer storm door).
Ugh. Found out this morning that someone I was in a car with yesterday unmasked tested positive today (we shared a ride to the airport). I’m still testing negative and feel mostly fine (I’m that “is it old age? Is it post convention fatigue? Is it the very tiny beginnings of covid??” Way) but now am very more fingers crossed. And glad I wore a mask as much as I did (in all the classes and big dances, though not with my roommate and a few other friends in small groups). On the other hand, as long as it was mild (obvi no guarantee) it WOULD be good timing for not being worried about catching it at Pride? :)
I called my insurance company this morning because I need an extra five days of meds that I didn't pack, and I told this guy what I needed, and he said he'd call me back, and he did? He'd talked to the pharmacy himself? And gotten all of my refills done? And made sure I had someone who could pick it up for me? I'm stunned.
I am OVER today.
Someone handling a big project is leaving. We are already working with vacancies in every division.
Someone big up in stuff is looking into some things, meaning pulling files and I let them copy things that apparently my boss didn’t want them to have copies of. They brought them back, but no one can explain why they shouldn’t have access to get copies.
My office mate is out quarantining as her daughter tested positive.
I just want to go home and knit for the rest of the day.
Everything is bullshit.
That's great, Dana!
Not great, msbelle. Bah to all that.
I came in early this morning because my main account needed early morning attention and now I've got a call scheduled for 8am on Thursday, my other in-the-office day this week. This is my playing havoc with my go-to-the-gym-before-work intentions.
Great to see your pixels, Epic!
And yay for helpful insurance people, Dana. Here's hoping it becomes a trend.

The Anti-Tino! Mister Onit to the rescue!
I had emergency mac&cheese and it is only slightly helping.
I am also mad at myself that I am not even 50% done with book club book for tonight. It was my suggested book! I’m only like 15% done. I’m going to try to listen to the audiobook as much as possible for the rest of the day.
Dana that is shocking and amazing, as well as awesome. Glad to hear at least one thing is going right for you!!
Random Q: I opened up one of the boxes of tests I got from the government and discovered there’s no swabs in it. Has everything else though. Could I use a qtip or something? Or is it just a wasted box? That seems like such a shame if so, but if I can’t get legit results then I might as well toss them.
