I'm here with Dana, btw. We're trying to keep her fed, hydrated, and entertained while she isolates in a bedroom upstairs. We're all testing daily and have had two rounds of negatives thus far.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Hang in there, Dana.
That does make me feel better, shrift! Best wishes for all y'all

Yes, everyone has been wonderful, of course. I'm eating better here than at home.
Oh, that makes me feel better, too. Good people.
Thank you shrift for taking care of Dana. So sorry you can't play together!!!
I'm glad shrift is there to look after Dana. I'm reminded of the bit in Douglas Coupland's Microserfs where they'd slip food to each other under the door, either pop tarts or individually wrapped slices of American cheese. When people were coding they couldn't be interrupted so they developed a menu of flat food.
Only somewhat coincidentally, I just booked an appointment for my 2nd booster at my local CVS. The confirmation email had a link to add the appointment to my Google calendar -- but the calendar page came up pre-populated for Dec. 4 1899 and p.m. instead of a.m. Ooops.
Paging Mr. Wells! Mr. H. G. Wells to the front desk, please!
Ha, that reminds me that I had wanted to put the 2nd booster on my list before I left, but now I'll wait since I don't want to risk exhaustion with all the driving in the next few days.
Sorry to hear about the Covid news Dana. At least you have good friends only a door away?
I picked Little Meg up from the vet today. She did not make friends. And got into a fight with her mother almost instantly upon release, though they seemed to be getting along better after an application of wet cat food.
I also got hit with an almost $700 dollar bill, nearly twice what I expected. Instead of the "charming and lovable" discount that Gizmo benefited from a few years ago, Little Meg seemed to qualify for a "get this yowling hellcat out of our kennel!" surcharge.
