Everything sucks.

Went online to check status of car repair for the car Mac wrecked. Discover that insurance company reestimated after estimate from repair shop and slotted it as a TOTAL LOSS a week ago. No email, call or text to me.

FUCK FUCK FUCK.

I cannot manage finding a used car in this market from several states away. And I still owe $9K on that car. Pretty sure I am not going to get that in the total loss payout.

I'm been thinking about getting a Ford Maverick since I think a little truck would be very handy and I like the combination of tidy size and good gas mileage, but they are sold out for this year. Another option I'm really interested in is a Kia Niro, especially the plug-in hybrid so I could run on electric for all my short trips. If it was a normal year it would be a perfect time to get a Niro with a big refresh for the next model year, giving me a chance a great discount on this year's model this winter, but I don't think that will happen with the way things are. I really wish I could be doing that now since I would give my car to one of my daughters and that would pop free a cheap car I could offer at really cheap price they both have Honda Fits that are old, but in really good shape mechanically.
