I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Our wings are not tired.

So am I the only one lucky enough to have Facebook down?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

At my last job, there was a woman who would root through the office refrigerator looking for something that looked appealing for her lunch. It took a lot to dissuade her.

Compassionately intolerant

I was putting something on the bookshelf where I keep my "kitchen" stuff and it was THERE!

I am a mug-monogamist. There is only ever one mug for me at a time, and breaking/losing one has monumental impact. Glat you found the OTM.

Teppy, we could talk for hours about this phenomenon and how closely I relate. Instead, I'm here is I can lend a totally separate/safe/sincere ear. It must be so much worse for you than it was for me, and I feel for you. I concur with the 'trust the medpros' advice. Live your life.

dcp, I know those bags! A neighbor got his cancer drugs in those bags too. They ended up in my stash, as I refuse to buy plastic bags of any kind. They've lasted for more than 10 years! Super useful and durable. And, if you store stuff like bread pudding in them, the warning square counts as ironic!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday Karl!

Ugh, it's cool and rainy here, and will be all weekend.

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

Thanks for the lovely wishes, folks. It's a quiet Friday here, which is generally how I prefer to celebrate.

I may go down to Pacifica and walk by the ocean later, to make sure I get my steps in. I'm so grateful to live in such a beautiful place.

And always, always thankful for my beloved Buffistas, who have been with me through so much, and who are never far from my mind or my heart, even when I'm not posting very much.

May we keep taking care of one another for a long, long while.

Um, not sure I would recommend re-using those bags for food? I mean I guess they held bottles with pills inside and not just stray pills but still. Maybe give them back to the pharmacy to be disposed.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

In purging useful items news, today I took two beach ball-sized clumps of plastic bags from Kroger to the recycling dumpster. They are handy in small numbers, but I accumulate way too many of them and they were spilling out from my lower cabinets to the kitchen floor.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Happy belated, Karl!

Steph, what everyone here said. I hope you have a great vacation.
