It's a long shot, but does anyone here have experience writing for elementary grades Math curricula? My company is looking for freelance subject matter experts/writers for the first half of the coming year. Profile addy is good if you want to ask any questions.

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Matt, she hasn't been here lately, but maybe Hil R.?
I’ve never made a coddled egg and not sure I’ve ever seen one either!
I just need to make it through tomorrow and I’ll be on vacation! Even if I’ll likely log in next week sometime.

Me too! Well, at least off work for 5 days in a row. And because of the pandemic, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day won't be spent running frantically back and forth to various family members' houses, so I might wake up December 26 feeling something other than exhausted and cranky. (On Christmas Eve we will be dropping gifts off at my mom and stepdad's house -- basically literally just putting them on the porch, backing up 6 feet, and exchanging pleasantries at that distance for about 5 minutes and leaving -- and taking presents to and visiting with my Dad for a maximum of 10 minutes.) I do have to be out of bed by noon on Christmas Eve for a family Zoom call, and then apparently on Christmas Day we're opening presents with my mom, stepdad, brother, and SiL over Zoom.

But I can tell you anyhow I’d rather see than be one.
Timelies all!
We were short-staffed today at work. One of the other biologists took the week off to use leave. Then another biologist had an all-day virtual training thing today, which she decided to do from home. Of course we get overwhelmed with work, including getting paged at 4:05, and again while I was enroute to the first page. Bleah.

Me too! Well, 4 days in a row. But that's a lot! These three days with people being on vacation is pretty intense, though. I was hoping the retailers would also be mostly OOO and chill, but no.
I have received a mysterious package from Willams-Sonoma! It's hard to imagine it is not a coals to Newcastle situation, but I am pretty excited anyway.
The flowers to my parents today were a HIT. It seems most of their facility is locked down. A maintenance person a nurse tested positive (and some others my mother has yet to identify, she is the Harriet the Spy of that place, I swear) and the nurse was likely doing door to door temp checks and the maintenance person was replacing lightbulbs one day last week and so was in and out of several apartments.
Oh, wow. I hope they come through it unscathed
So it turns out my phone was not broken. I remembered there was a local phone/iPad fixit spot nearby, took it in, told him it wouldn't charge and he plugged it in and it started charging right up.
I should've checked my charging cable from the start.
Anyway...problem solved for a $10 cable.
Matilda and I just got back from an East Bay jaunt dropping off EM's presents and stocking. She's driving with her boyfriend up to Montana starting tomorrow, but we'll Zoom with her and Emmett on xmas eve and xmas morning.
We'll meet up with Emmett on xmas eve (in the early afternoon) in the same parking lot in Marin (midway between us) and hand off presents. I'll give him a tray of lasagna too and some cinnamon rolls to make on xmas morning that that's how we're going to roll.
After SNL shamed me for not doing a better job filling JZ's stocking I went to the local cheese shop and now she's got a Fancy Stocking With Cheese. That's very full.
