Sooner or later, you're gonna want it. And the second — the second — that happens, you know I'll be there. I'll slip in, have myself a real good day.

Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I’ll say tho that unlike the WX days, we have an overwhelming amount of social media, and so just keeping up, much less, interacting, on all platforms is just something I can’t do.

Yeah, nobody can really keep up anymore. Though Natter is manageable, so it's lovely to find people here. Whereas Natter was once a broad catch-all, in a way it's become a concentrated distillate.

But I’ve got bunches of friends in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, and it’s gorgeous on the seacoast. And I still get to see the Alters because I’ve got to be onsite fairly regularly still. So I’ll have the best of all worlds, I’m hoping.

So great! I'll needs lots of pictures of Flea's family interacting with your dogs at the beach.

Probably an undercut. I think clippers are in my near future.

This is such a good day.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Join me in the zombie training, JenP! If that works for you, of course, but it would be fun for me to have a virtual asynchronous running buddy. I haven’t decided on whether I will find a 5k to sign up for when I get to the end of the program, but I think I will do another zombie training immediately because I need the external direction…

Those are fantastic reasons to move, java! Yes, closer to friends makes all the difference in the world (that's why I moved back here: 100% fantastic choice). Having said that, yay for msbelle date! (Chappaqua is one of those place names that I find charming -- like, it has to be lovely there.)

-t. OK, deal! That will give me motivation, too -- yay, training buddy! Are you doing the original one? I think I will find a 5k to sign up for, too. Aspirational!

David, being a tenant, I know your tenants will appreciate the work even though it's a lot. Having landlords who care about their property is fantastic.

Cool, shrift. I've never had one, but I like the way undercuts do.

Yes, the original couch to 5k that is a separate app. Just completed the 2nd week. And I just got off the phone with my mom and mentioned that our race promoters didn’t have anything I’d want to do for the time when I will be finishing the training (if all goes well) and she suggested we could do one of the flat routes that we know are easy to navigate that maybe won’t be too hot on an unofficial basis, so I think that’s the plan. We can decide which one day of if we want, really leave it up to the weather and traffic to choose. So it’s a fixed goal but geographically nebulous.

Undercut has been achieved! Now I can't stop petting the back of my head.

I'm roasting chicken thighs for later and I made some chilaquiles for right now because HONGRY.

Nice, -t! I shall start... Monday, I think. Still anticipating some blergh tomorrow.

Thumbs-up for haircut (and chilaquiles, TBH). I need one pretty badly. Haircut. Although...

We just watched Paddington 2. Aw. Happy Birthday, Aunt Lucy.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Me: wow, no one has posted in ages. Reader, I was signed out.

We had breakfast out and now we’re going to see the Easter bunny for the first time in 2 years. We visited Papa yesterday. I’m trying to keep myself as busy as possible because anytime I stop to think, I can’t stop crying.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Undercut has been achieved! Now I can't stop petting the back of my head.

Ohhh I love that feeling.

I have a new niece! Her name is Willow! She is teeny and perfect!
