He can stand up on all 3 levels! Well, just barely on the very top, but easily in the main cabin and below. That was the limiting factor in finding a boat. Very few have head space above 6'4". He can even stand in the shower!
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Wow. That’s awesome. It looks marvelous!

Oh wow! I have seen showers not on boats that even I can't stand in!
That’s so great, Laura!
Yay for boat!
Yay for guinea pig in recovery!
Re: The Electric Company:
Put your hands up for Tom Lehrer solidarity!
Laura, that is amazing and beautiful! Congratulations to you both.
You guys, I am entertaining in my home. I do not remember the last time I did this. It is so fun. I pretty much remember how to do this!
(Well, except for the part where you take your phone and sneak away for a sec to post to your glowy box friends. But I'm not sorry about it.)

Look at you with the socialization and gracious hosting!
Personally I'm a little over socialized this week. Went to Zazie twice in the last week. So switched things up with my Fancy Brunch friend, Jes, and instead we had dinner and drinks at Whitechapel (gin bar with Jack the Ripper theme), and then Zombie Village (super elaborate tiki bar) whilst we talked for four hours.
Then took visiting college friends to the Pied Piper bar Thursday night (with its original Maxfield Parrish painting), and rounded off with burritos with Emmett & Kalena yesterday.
Now I'm waiting for Matilda to wake up and JZ to return from church with a round of coffee for all.
Both of my kids are traveling next week. Emmett's flying to Oklahoma for Maggie the Girl's wedding. Matilda's friend Iris is going to Palm Springs for three days, and invited Matilda to join them. (Which is why Matilda went shopping for super sugar kicks.)
Timelies all!
Yesterday we went to Gary's Alumni Weekend. I only knew one other person there, so it was a bit awkward for me. Did a crab cake luncheon(decent food), a lacrosse game(it was cold and windy and someone insisted on sitting at the top of the bleachers, so I was freezing out there) and a 30th reunion dinner(Since there were no Alumni Weekends in 2020 and 2021, they included the classes of 1990 and 1991 along with 1992.) Not really my idea of fun, but I did agree to do it...
