Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

Thrive to spite them

I feel like the GOP is taking all their frustrations over not being able to run everything and how the Russia invasion of Ukraine is not doing them any favors out on this confirmation hearing and so that's why they are all acting like a bunch of Karens who are mad that another store so now they are taking it out on you because it's easy.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Not watching the hearings because I'm already stressed out, and I don't need to add to it.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

- and that's a second realtor letting me know 10 minutes before the call that they need to reschedule. WTAF?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Here's an excellent watch & post thread by Madiba Dennie of the Brennan Center for Justice's Democracy Program, an attorney and Bitch Media columnist for anyone who wants the gist without having to endure the nauseous details.

I just saw on Twitter that Sen Hirono went through all the GOP appointed judges who have sentenced child porn defendants below guidelines.

And asked Jackson if she had ever been accused of sexual assault or settled a sexual assault case.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Bizarre, amyparker! WTH, realtors? You know who you need, that nice couple from Santa Clarita. They might eat your brains but they will keep their appointments.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I am consistenly happy that Sen Hirono represents me

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Why is it that neurologists...seem to present the most difficult issues for those patients?

The Dr. Glaucomflecken channel on YouTube has some funny bits about neurologists. Here is one: "The Neurologist Goes To Therapy" [link]

There's an interesting article from the "National Review" entitled Senator Hawley’s Disingenuous Attack against Judge Jackson’s Record on Child Pornography" pointing out that Judge Jackson is basically doing what other judges do because the sentencing guidelines conflate actively abusing children with possessing videos and make no sense. Needless to say, most of the comments are not supportive, but I was surprised NR published the article.

bennett, I agree—saw that same article and was very shocked that NR posted it at all. I didn’t even look at the comments, but I saw RW Twitter going into a NR IS TRASH froth over it, so it doesn’t seem like it’s going to move anyone an inch. Sigh.
