That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

I agree with Jesse. Not that getting the dental work set perfectly is easy by any means, but unless you're gnawing on animal bones with wild abandon in between, I feel like a bridge should hold up to a cracker.

Hope ltc doesn't feel too bad, and I hope you're all having a good Saturday even though not as originally planned.

I have been so tired this week! I guess DST + coming off of Zoloft after a titration down. I tell you what, I was SUPER hair trigger cranky last week, so I'm glad that part of withdrawal seems to have passed. Naps I can handle, but being irritated by every damn, stupid, tiny thing is exhausting.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

askye, that sounds like your dentist is doing something wrong.

I feel like a bridge should hold up to a cracker.

Listen to them, askye.

JZ is awaiting the delivery of our furniture from the White Elephant Sale. The two men doing the hauling own their own business and it is called: Lugg.

Because we don't yet have access to the flat where the furniture is going to live, it will temporarily stay with JZ's friend Maggie, who lives in our neighborhood and has been renting out two of her empty bedrooms to us as storage. Which we need because (a) we've got too much shit for our tiny apartment; and (b) we also have stuff that was salvaged from JZ's father's house after the fire there.

Anyway, the Lugg-men cometh, and they do this super helpful thing that every mover should do which is they just send you a text of where they are at at every point. They showed when they were picking up the furniture, when they were on the bridge, and now that they're in the neighborhood.

Now if the Vanity mirror can just arrive intact...

Come June, we'll probably hire Lugg again to move the stuff out of Maggie's apartment into the new house, which is all of five blocks away. But also upstairs. So, I'm happy to outsource the lugging.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

A week ago it snowed and today it's warm and sunny. March weather...

Our wings are not tired.

Outsourcing lugging is a very good plan.

I have listed stuff on Marketplace, Offer Up, and Craigslist. For me dealing with this is a complete horror. I don't haggle and negotiate. The two people I have sold stuff to ended up agreeing to my listed price after I made it clear. I think the flood of fake people happened right away and were easy enough to spot.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Sheryl, it’s being March here too. Yesterday it was warm and beautiful here, and today it poured all day.

I now know what ltc was describing as her brain bouncing around in her head because I have a milder version of her plague and I’m so dizzy.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

It's not just the two guys; it's an app that folks with trucks and vans and folks with stuff that needs to be lugged from Point A to Point B can use to connect with each other. We can definitely request these two guys again, though; they were an awesome team.

I have powered through a metric crapload of the boxes at Maggie's place in the last few days--25 now sorted and clearly labeled, underfilled boxes condensed so I was able to break down 11 more, one box of stuff for Goodwill, and 18 boxes to go.

Thrive to spite them

My dentist is really awesome so I'm wondering if it is something to do with my mouth and maybe the way the bridge was fabricated. The dentist spent a lot of time adjusting things and filing down my upper teeth (my molars are like jagged canyons) and the bridge and having me bite sideways and stuff. So I guess it needs more adjustment.

I know he won't make me feel bad it's just frustrating that this happened and I can't help but feel like there is something I could be doing differently.

The movers sound awesome! And all you did is a big accomplishment JZ.

This past week at mom's we got so much stuff done. I keep asking her to let me help her and she finally agreed and because it's not my stuff it was easy to get powered through. Some how I ended up with a tub of picture frames at my house that had been in her storage unit. When we were organizing her stuff we found 2 more tubs of frames (some had pictures) so I got her to agree to let me just get rid of the frames that I have. Unless there is a pictures in them she wants.

Good going with all the organizing, listing, and donating of stuff, Laura, askye, and JZ. I did a fraction at that today by unpacking two of DP's boxes of previously too small clothes, some of which he's fitting back in to. That was satisfying for both of us, I think.

And we just had a fun dinner out. It was lovely here today.

You've got friends to have good times with. When you need to share the trauma of a badly-written book with someone, that's when you go to family.

Sitting in the audience at the Lincoln Theatre with Jim and Ken, waiting for Eileen Ivers to come on stage. Ken's reading Murderbot as we wait. We've had the best day.
