That Marcella Hazan tomato sauce is the way and the light. I need to make that again.
I am so glad that your brother is around to reset his recovery clock, Tep. Please do whatever you need to keep yourself and Tim moving forward.
2022 is effing brutal. So many people dipping into negative numbers and experiencing places they'd never gone before.
I've put olives in the sauce because of olive love, and right, Mediterranean! Mushrooms are not in my sauce as I tend to prefer them fresh and not overcooked. On pizza they are fine because not cooked a lot. Garlic is always an excellent plan, in abundance, except probably not in ice cream, but almost always.
Tonight is snapper and roasted cauliflower. DH brought home both purple and white cauliflower because he said I wasn't specific in my list and he thought mixed they would be pretty. No sauce, or mushrooms, or olives. There will be garlic!
Timelies all!
I'm so sorry life has been rough, Steph.
As for tomato sauce, I think my mom had a recipe she used occasionally. Dunno if I have it or not. (It would probably need tweaking- I suspect there isn't enough garlic in it.)
I am tapped the fuck out.
Steph, I wanted to go back to this and send you all the ~ma I can spare. It feels like there are a lot of people at their breaking points and it's rough for those of us who care but also are barely keeping it together.
Damn, Steph. That really is an awful lot.
I was just thinking about making tomato sauce to put on pizza on Friday or Saturday, so I'll think about olives. Not mushrooms, though.
Holy hell, Universe, LAY OFF THE TEP. SHE NEEDS A FUCKING BREAK.
So much of this. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this, Steph. It's awful and no fair and other more profane adjectives.
Oh god, Steph. Thinking about you and your family. I hope life eases up on you all.
FYI, the requested job~ma last week worked- I have a first round Zoom interview on Friday, 1:30pm Central. So feel free to refocus for another round of job~ma for then!
I don't think I've been as excited for a job opportunity for... ever. It's a beer event/educator coordinator position for the state's brewing guild.
Ooh, that sounds so good for you!
