No posts in nearly 12 hours? Goodness.
I woke up about 40 minutes before my alarm today and made the rare decision to stay awake rather than go back to sleep. Anytime this happens I know if no I fall back asleep for 30 min or whatever I’ll feel more groggy when my alarm goes off, but 99% of the time that doesn’t stop me.

I think the day owes you an afternoon nap, now.
Ugh, today’s Covid test was positive. (Covid Strikes Back.) I feel fine, though. My throat might be a little scratchy, but I thought that was because it’s so cold and dry and the humidity is low. But if my scratchy throat is a Covid symptom, it’s the only one I have. Hopefully it’ll stay that way, since I’m fully vaxxed and boosted.
That does sound ideal, Calli. When is the stay interview?
Tomorrow. I'll let y'all know how it goes.
Yay Flea in Cape Cod!
I'm making ham and bean soup, and the smell is wonderful. Here's hoping the taste matches, because I find it impossible to make less than a metric ton of the stuff. My success rate with bean soup is about 75%. Sometimes it just doesn't work for me, and I'm never sure why.
ETA: I'm sorry, Steph. I hope it passes quickly and completely.

Mmmm, I've made my ham and green bean soup a couple times this winter and it does make a homey smell.
I texted a cowoker today and they were like- you're on the schedule! I had no idea. I've missed days. No one has called me. I'm low key panicking and I've called and left a message for the HR person who is there and I just need to talk to someone.
Too many people getting breakthrough infections.
At my physical last week, my doctor (who knows I am All About That Vax/Masks) asked "So, have you gotten Covid yet?" So it's feeling kind of inevitable at this point.
Is everybody on the east coast ready for the bombogenesis.
In San Francisco it's going to be 63 and sunny. I didn't even have to check the weather channel. It's always 63 and sunny even in January.

The latest forecasts have the bomb cyclone moving further out to sea, so it looks like it may turn out to be a bust cyclone.
Yeah, right now the forecasts are ranging from 3" to 3' so like...I guess it's going to snow some amount. It's either going to be a lot of snow or not very much snow, and in some locations around the region.
