I know that Alibelle got COVID a few weeks ago, and was fully vaxxed and boosted and also has been barely social. Her case was mild and fluish.
And Amy Garvey had a positive test this weekend. She's also vaxxed and boosted.
ETA: Oh, and Sean and his gf both have it.
It does seem to be past its peak in the Bay Area. Matilda just got boosted on Saturday and I don't know how she dodged getting it in school over the last few weeks.
Timelies all!
Sorry for all the folks testing positive for COVID. So far, so good here...
I just checked in and Alibelle is free from disease and isolation and went out for the first time in 21 days (to a Starbucks drive through and immediately back home). But she's feeling fine.
Amy is very tired and headachey.
I got three notices for exposure in my workplace (which I haven't been to so I wasn't exposed) recently, which is more at one time than I've seen in a while. I also was told that my county has the highest rate of infection in the state. So, continuing to stay at home, inside and alone, as much as possible. Which is quite a lot of the time when you are me.
Tim's doctor just called and is going to have him get the 1 monoclonal antibody that works against omicron, probably tomorrow, because he's still within the window. That's a relief.
Oh, I am super glad to hear it. If anyone deserves superpowers it's Tim.
I'm in Cape Cod! They're forecasting a giant blizzard.
I'm in Cape Cod!
Yay!
They're forecasting a giant blizzard.
[checks calendar...]
How the fuck is it still January?! Nobody needs this much January.
Oh good, I was wondering about the monoclonal antibody situation since it was so helpful before.
Woo flea in Cape Cod!
Oh good, I was wondering about the monoclonal antibody situation since it was so helpful before.
He just had the nerve to say "...you know, I don't feel as bad as I did last time I had Covid,* so maybe I don't need the monoclonal antibodies."
Reader, I shook my pointer finger at him like he was a pet that misbehaved and said "NOPE! Get them." (He said, "Yup, I am definitely going to get those antibodies, yes indeed!")
*(Because now we live in a world where someone can say "the last time I had Covid." This world is garbage.)
It is a terrible sign of the times, but I'm afraid I laughed
