In Covid news- M's BIL was feeling sick and-- he has Covid. As far as I know M's sister hasn't gotten tested. Their oldest son (senior in high school) has symptoms and went to get tested. The house is very small and very crowded and there is no way to quarantine from each other. The BIL's father lives in the house and his bed/things are in the living room & he should be on oxygen but he isn't because he wouldn't stop smoking near the oxygen tank . I don't think he'll survive if he gets covid.
Are any of them vaccinated?
I'm honestly shocked that my dad, who is 80 years old and chock full of chronic conditions, has no symptoms. He is fully vaxxed, thank god.
I wouldn't be surprised if McConnell tries to say that we should wait until after the next Presidential election to nominate and confirm a Supreme Court Justice.
I would literally volunteer to go kick him in the balls. They're totally going to try the thing with the midterms, though, and the Dems fucking better not let them get away with it.
My father, who got an early breakthrough case, had very mild symptoms for only a few days.
Steph- As far as I know they are all anti vax and so not vaccinated but I'm not sure. I know his brother and SIL are very very anti vax types and they were exposed to it but I don't know if they are sick or not or if they'd just ignore it. M's mom tried to talk to one of their daughters about getting vaccinated by she didn't want to because "the vaccine makes you sterile and I want to have kids". She's getting this from her parents and the church she goes to. M's mom pointed out that she couldn't have kids if she was dead but that didn't go over well.

Too many people getting breakthrough infections. My 11 yo nephew had a friend stay over this past weekend (both vaccinated), and the friend is now positive. My sister took the boys so she was in a tiny car with both of them too. She and nephew will test tomorrow since it would be 5 days. In the meantime both isolating anyway.

I can't believe how many people I know [glaring at Tim] who've tested positive in the past month since Christmas. I think all of the people I know who've gotten breakthrough infections are fully vaxed, though, and have/had only minor symptoms, which means, hey! the vaccine is fucking WORKING.
And my sister also told me my 40 something yo nephew and his girlfriend both have covid too. Both vaccinated. She found out when she was at the hospital for another issue and then he tested and found he did too. I hate this crap. Both he and GF has serious health issues.
