Same, I want it to be the weekend already ugh. I super did not want to get up this morning and I don’t want to do the work I need to do…but I already took a sick day this week, so I need to get SOMETHING done!
Natter 77: I miss my friends. I miss my enemies. I miss the people I talked to every day.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I have made two onerous phone calls, and now I'm trying to do some clean up so that my inlaws won't be as horrified when they show up today.
I thought that yesterday was Thursday, so this week has me totally discombobulated.
I also had a sick day this week (Tuesday), but since the week was about 3 days long before I was sick, and I've definitely worked *at least* 3 days since, it MUST be the weekend by now.
Even though I don't know what day of the week it is, I'm getting those onerous tasks done: some work stuff, 2 loads of laundry, paid quarterly taxes, packaged up a sweater that was too big so I can return it to Lands End, and in about half an hour I'm going to actually go to the damn post office to mail said package to Lands End. Then a tiny walk, and then more work. I'm genuinely not even sure if the car will start, because we haven't used it in weeks. This will be very exciting.
I read Teppy’s post and now I need a nap.
I made breakfast and lunch for myself and did some work stuff.
I feel like I've put in a couple of day's worth of work since complaining this morning. And yet I am still waiting for the price exception report that was supposed to be out at noon. Is it actually past noon? I am not sure at this point.
The car did start, hooray, but it needs coolant (which I didn't realize until I got back home, or else I would have put coolant in it before I drove it, yikes). This is the 2000 Echo, which has faithfully transported me (and then us) since 2004. It may be time to get a car that's newer than 22 years old (the Corolla is a 2013, which is already pushing 10 years and just hit 100,000 miles). I really wanted to wait out the car shortage, because it seems like it should improve by summer. Will have to ponder this.
I also called out sick on Tuesday. I'm reasonably sure I don't have COVID and this is just a sinus infection since I tested myself on Friday and again on Tuesday, but I'm also masking up anytime I leave my apartment just in case. I have zero desire to work and my body doesn't understand why we are not in a blanket burrito on the couch. I need to figure out what is the bare minimum I can force myself to get done the rest of the day.
I had "reschedule dentist appointment" on my To Do list since it's next week and I would like to not what with the pandemonium, but then they called me to confirm my appointment! Rescheduled for March.
I had to haul a good-sized box down to FedEx to return a present. It was nice. It was a size 4. sigh ....
