Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

My family lived in Louisville and, when I was five, moved to northern New Jersey. Louisville MIGHT get an inch or so of snow. First snowfall in New Jersey - 11 inches.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

OK, I ran out of people food again, but I still have a little cat food and I have groceries ordered for pickup tomorrow after work and a plan to go to Starbucks before work (which means getting out of bed more than 1 minute before work so that will be a challenge but I CAN DO IT IF I TRY) so everything is going to be okay. And I feel weirdly energetic at the moment, like maybe I actually have been a little sick for the last week while telling myself I was definitely not sick just tired. Oops. But now better? So there's that.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Mr. S has fallen asleep on the couch with Netflix running.(Some Pokemon show) I'd turn it off, but I think the remote is under him.

Thrive to spite them

So last night or maybe the night before I was eating dry cereal and there was a weird crunch and I was worried I had broken a tooth or crown or something, it's actually where my bridge is but I can't feel anything missing but my gum is sore some times when I chew so I don't know what is going on. I really don't want to go to the dentist because mine is still in NC and that means a long drive that is up and down no matter which way I go and riding in cars hasn't been nice to me lately.

Did go to Aldi's today and that was an ok experience. Mostly not great because earlier today I had made myself nauseous from taking clothes out of the dryer and I know that bending over is something to avoid and yesterday I had issues with dizziness because of trying to watch The Expanse so it wasn't great. Then riding in the car the light through the trees causing flickering and flashing was really bothering me . I had to cover my eyes with my hands because even wearing sunglasses and with my eyes closed the changes in the light were bothering me.

But honstly it was just nice to get out of the house. And I got through to someone at the worker's comp place and they did have my address wrong, it was changed. They are reissuing a check , I didn't speak to my claims specialist but I did leave a message asking the check to be overnighted to me.

I took my nausea medicine before we went to Aldi adn it had really kicked in by the time we got home so I went and ended up sleeping for several hours which will mess up my sleep but at least I don't feel like I'm about to throw up.

Hang in there, askye. I hope they get your check to you right quick.

The book I am reading just used the phrase “slightly perpendicular” and I had to complain somewhere. Do not want.

I had the worrrrrrst migraine today—usually one pill and a few hours later I feel better. This time, two pills and I still felt awful and was laying on the bathroom floor to try not to puke. Finally around like 6pm felt plush and went to go get pho. My poor dog is so annoyed at me. I’m not fun and he was supposed to go to daycare today and play with the other dogs but I couldn’t get out of bed to walk or drive him there. Poor baby.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

12 F out this morning, colder overnight, so my kitchen hot water pipe is froze -- I've got the cold dripping, and the cabinet open, so at some point it will revive -- especially as the day gets warmer to a high of 36, or so they suppose.

Honestly, I have a theory that the meteorologists around here get together once a week, and assign different predictions for each other, in the hopes that at least one of them will be right that way.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Mr. S has fallen asleep on the couch with Netflix running.

Who among us can't say the same?

Meara and askye, I hope you both feel better soon.

I have a video interview this afternoon. After agreeing to the interview, I learned that they both require in-person work and have no institutional vaccine mandate. So it's really more that I have a practice interview this afternoon which I can use to fine-tune my approach for places at which I'm willing to work.

Big sigh on that, Calli. Good to have practice, I guess.

Hope your head is kind to you today, meara!

I am semi-vertical and working but not exactly awake. Hopefully I will wake up before too long. If anyone is wondering, I did not get out to pick up breakfast yet. Doing everything in the wrong order this morning.
